I’m not a huge college baseball fan, but Bieser has had some impressive series wins this year. LSU and OM and tieing A&M.

He's certainly doing a good job. Definitely a good hire. Vitello might just be proving that he would have been the right hire as well if MU went that direction. He's got UT at about the same place as Mizzou.

Been winning without their supposed 1st round pick who is hitting a buck fifty in SEC play. Good to see not relying on one player. Have 2 pitchers that are sub 2.00 in SEC play. I don't know if it's genius or overthinking it, but he's got those guys pitching Sat and Sun even though most would have them as your Fri and Sat starters.

If they can tighten up their defense, which has been very suspect at times, and keep generating runs, they could make a decent run this year. A lot of their losses could have swung the other way too.

I like it when we win in any sport, but baseball is just tedious and boring to me.

" Here's Richard Smith at the plate. He's .303 in his career against left handers, in the afternoon, when the ballpark faces West."

They seem to find inane stats, that make me crazy.

I love the game. Hate the stat junkies. If you look long enough you can find stats to say anything you need for your position.

BTW - Destroying a not so good SMS team tonight.

Big win tonight against SC. Not sure it's a must win series but pretty damn close to it.

Next weekend will be fun. Beiser vs. Vitello

Really hope it shows the right decision was made!!!

10-0. Sikkema spun a gem. Handed a no-no over the to the pen.

And the sweep of SC. SC is not the SC of old but a sweep of any SEC team is awesome stuff.

Yeah, Sikemma has been so solid all year. Was a little surprised he made it through 7. His pitch count was getting up there which can happen when you have 10 K's and 4 walks.

I thought LaPlante was supposed to be back this weekend. Joven got the start and didn't record an out before getting yanked. Did he get hurt or just struggled that much?

And destroying SEMO.

All eyes were on Misner going into the year but Cornelius is having one helluva year at SS.

McDaniel, Gomez, Cornelius, and Holt have been carrying the team. McDaniel is raking in SEC play.

Your team is looking good, I am surprised there isn't more support for them though.

I suppose it has to do with have 2 very successful major league teams in the state. Cards fan myself.

Good luck the rest of the season.

You're right about McDaniel killing it but he's also a huge liability defensively. I would suspect that if we can find a better defensive catcher with some offensive output, that he would move positions.

Vitello got the better of Beiser in game 1. I do like Beiser overall but sometimes his in game decisions are a bit mystifying. Maybe an injury or something we don't know as fans, but seems he pulled the starter way too early last night. Head scratcher.

Cantleberry was not making quality pitches last night and had lost the zone when Beiser gave him the hook. Bedell was uncharacteristically loose but Ash was the killer. He hasn't flashed anything in his 1.5 seasons other than walking as many people as he strikes out.

MU evens the series. McDaniel went 3-3 with a dinger and 4 RBIs.

Great job by Bedell and Dulle too. Weather did us no favors with a 2 hour rain delay that prevented Sikemma from going beyond the 2 2/3 innings.

Now let's go win the series tomorrow. Would be a good series win against another team that it could be us or them going to postseason.
