Well it’s a minimum of 1-2 months. I’d be mildly shocked to see him play again in college.

There’s a player on the Rockets that had the same surgery, he recovered and was playing again in 6 weeks.

Though if I was MPJ I wouldn’t rush back.

He could’ve not had the surgery and had a shorter rehab. I think the surgery was more about getting him to the draft. That’s my personal opinion.

Given that, I don’t see how he plays this year.

I had the same surgery 7 or 8 years ago. Walked out of the hospital same day as surgery. Walked 5 miles the very next day. No PT needed specifically for the surgery.

From what my surgeon told me, there was absolutely no risk to that disc afterwards. The concern was the other 4 discs that are bulging and if I blew them out.

If he didn't have any other disc issues, I think theoretically he could be back playing before season's end. Having said that...I'd be shocked if he did.
