As maddening as the offense is and as much as Pinkel's WDWWD can send you screaming. Taking the next step to annual legitimate title contender and not just the occasional great season is a tough one. Others who struggle with the exact same thing:

Georgia
Auburn
LSU
USC
Utah
Oregon
UCLA
Clemson
Arizona
Stanford
Ole Miss

I only included teams who have great seasons and throw in 3-4 loss seasons too. I didn't count teams that lately don't win much like Texas, Nebraska and Miami.

It doesn't help the pain, but there are a lot of fans of pretty big name programs who go through the same shite we are. Auburn won a NC and fired Chizek 2 seasons later, talk about peaks and valleys.

Let's hope Pinkel makes a few sensible changes, and we can get back to piling up the wins.

I don't expect titles every year. But 4-8? Pinkels worst team ever in his entire tenure at Mizzou?

I just don't think that's acceptable when you have an established program.

I understand that you believe it's unacceptable, but it happens...ask Auburn and they played for the NC 2 years ago.

Yeah. If he'd even finished 6-6, it wouldn't be turning into the night of the long knives on the Mizzou boards. It's a colossally bad year when one wasn't expected or warranted.

I'll add that the talent is better than 4-8 too and better than worst offense in football. Being bad can fall on the players. Being this bad falls on the coaching

I would have to look it all up, but Auburn was 3-9 2 years after the NC with top 5 recruiting including the number 1 running back.

Just saying, our position isn't unique, programs who haven't reached elite status can have this happen from time to time. Not saying it makes us feel better or even less angry, but we are in good company.

To be fair.

We are 4-5. Not 4-8.

I don't see us winning another game, but who knows.

I could easily see us beating two of the next three if we get our OL schemes straightened out. Dak Prescott is a great player and Msu's offense is much better than any of the remaining opponents. That said we'll probably lose all three. Let's just hope Drew doesn't get too banged up.

Not really. We're averaging more points per game than they are, and we've played better competition. They've got us beat in the yardage department, by about 20 yards or so per game.

I don't know, I have this odd feeling you get it together just in time before the game.

Unless Pinkel smacks the pimp hand down on Henson and Ricker, we won't win another game. WDWWD.

We're not winning another game. Just be thankful there's only 3 more left. Next year can't get here soon enough

Unless some changes are made on the offensive side of the ball I'm not sure I'd get too excited about next year.

Meh, it's a fresh start. Can hit the reset button and all of our skill players are a year older.

The snowball effect is a very real thing. This team is mindfricked. Conditioned to lose.
