Mizzou basketball will be ranked after we roll SEMO tomorrow.

I don’t think beating SEMO will take us from receiving 2 votes to jumping into the top 25. Beating kansas on the other hand…

I tend to agree but being 9-0 with the win over Wichita State might get us in 21-25 ...

Beating the chicken hawks would propel us into the top 15 at 10-0.

It will get better ratings if both teams are ranked. That’s why Mizzou will get ranked

SEC network will still show a meaningless volleyball game over a Mizzou ranked team.

Wichita State is 4-4 and didn't make any postseason last year. They haven't been decent since Marshall got fired.

In basketball it hurts you more than helps you playing the worst teams in the nation. If you're NET 100 and play NET 300, you will drop several spots if you win for example.

With Missouri's SOS being ranked 208 and the worst of any Power 5 team, it would take more than a Kansas win to get ranked probably.

Lol if MU beats *ansas and Improves to 10-0 they will most definitely be ranked…

Arguing they wouldn’t be worthy of that ranking would make some sense.

Eh, I think you misunderstand how low Missouri started out and how bad their schedule has been as to why they still get zero respect. I would still suspect there's a solid chance they wouldn't be.

That being said you have

#9 Kansas
UCF (6-2 wins over FSU, Oklahoma State)
#16 Illinois
#19 Kentucky
@ #11 Arkansas

your next 5 games so all the games in the world to prove worthiness. That is a brutal stretch to end OOC and begin SEC play, and all of those teams will move up quite a few spots in tomorrow's poll too.

By the end of the season Arkansas’s OOC schedule is not going to look as hard as you thought 3 weeks ago.

A loss to #21 Creighton and win over #24 San Diego State.

If we win 1 of the next 3 OOC games and go 9-8 or 8-9 in conference play we are in the NCAA tournament.

I didn’t think that was possible at the beginning of the season. This gives us something to build on for the next few years.

Something that will make us better is getting Mosley ready for conference play.

The current NET ratings seems to overvalue offensive efficiency. That’s going to help us a lot.

We’re already 41st in the NET ratings even with our weak schedule to this point.

Mizzou could get to the tourney but Gates clearly needs a few classes of P5 recruited talent to matchup with blue bloods. He seems like a guy who can bring respectability back to the program so no need to get concerned. That white dick fricker is a high 5 star. Zou just can’t match the talent.

The only equalizer for talent mismatches is getting hot and draining 40-50% of your 3s.

It’s a perfect storm of awfulness.

Bad shooting. Awful transition defense. kU is hot. They’re very talented. We’re not.

We will get better this year. But we’re not a top 25 team. Not even close right now.

Second half really showed the difference in not having a big.

I think it showed we don’t have a playmaker/scorer to stop a drought. We play team ball and that is great, but we don’t have that one player to carry the team for a few possessions.

Not counting free throws in the 2nd half we hit one shot from 7:20 to the end of the game.

In the 1st half we hit one shot from 12:36 to 5:30.

A team usually needs that one player that can step up and carry them a few minutes a game. Hopefully Mosley can be that guy

It is the first season in a major rebuild.

It isn't like your coach took over a pretty good but not great team. He took over a program with tons of potential that has to build up to reach that potential.

I think you will get there but this is a murderous season for SEC basketball. You've got multiple teams that could possibly win it all. As long at Mizzou makes the Big Dance you've had a great year this year. You can sell that going forward and stockpile players for next year.
