The record for attendance at Faurot is 75,298 against Penn State in 1980. The next eight are all from before 1990.

How do we get fans to come to games? Winning helped when Pinkel was here, but we lost rivalry games when we joined the SEC. We stopped playing games against teams we played for over 70 years. We have a 9-4 record against Arkansas and neither teams fans treat it like a real rivalry game. The same can be said about SC game.

Building it through St. Louis and KC is probably not the answer in the short term, because that is going to take a decade

It will start by a keeping coach, winning, and playing true rivalry games. Pay the mid major teams off and play games with Illinois and KU. Drink needs to get on social media and try to start a fight with Arkansas fans. Playing Oklahoma every year will help bring back some fans from a team we have played against 96 times from the the Big 8 and Big 12 days.

Go back to playing the Illini, schedule a H-H against Iowa (we’ve played them once in 100+ years), and throw some bones at Missouri State ( Petrino), and the state’s newest D1 FCS program in Lindenwood.

you do realize it is impossible to get back there, right? Stadium has shrunk a lot since 1980.

I say this a lot, but imagine if the amtrak went to Columbia instead of jeff city. Attendance would be helped out a lot.

Would have to use Norfolk Southern's St. Louis District line which passes through St. Chuck, O'Fallon, and obviously Moberly. Would the former approve of that when they unanimously voted no on metrolink expansion ? That's the million dollar question.

KC is Big 12, Stl is Big 10 and we're in the SEC. It will never work without major realignment where we are in a conference that inherits both markets.

Just win.

All of college football attendance is down, even the SEC.

But we had good attendance in 2013 and 2014. Also the last years we were any good at football.

The MSA is split between Mizzou and Illinois.
