It was a terrible performance by the defense. I'm not arguing otherwise. We were discussing Holmes specifically and his inept play. His game grade of 71 while defending the boundary was outstanding. He may have only been targeted 7 times but his man was the first read on at least half of the passing attempts.

I know quite a few folks don't really see us pulling this out, but I am curious to know what we need to do to get the W on Saturday.

What are the keys to securing a Mizzou victory? Here is my opinion:

1. We have to get pressure on Fromm. Get to him often and do not give him time to throw.

2. Our secondary really has to shore it up. Both LBs and DBs need to get their shite together.

3. We need to be at a +1 in the TO department.

I think if we're able to hit these 3 bullet points, we'll be able to pull off the upset.

Well yeah that happens we got us a game, but how do Sparks and Hilton suddenly do a 180 and become decent?

Is Sparks now all of a sudden an awful player after 1 bad game?

Tough crowd

Same way Acy did last season. Acy was way worse over the first 4-5 than Sparks was against Purdue. If they don’t improve maybe someone else does.

these 3 bullet points

Our run D has to be legit (right now we're 10th in the nation STAT wise but is it legit?)

Our pass D needs to be average

Coming out gunning on offense....make them play the pass FIRST.....then run the ball

Did UGA get a new TE cause Albert O was named first team preseason all SEC

We did get a new TE last year to add to our already stout unit. We still have Isaac Nauta, Charlie Woerner and we added Luke Ford. All three have NFL potential but we don't throw the ball enough for them to get first team accolades.

I always thought Acy had the physical tools to play the position.

But do you need a nut cup when you're always convinced the team is going to suck?

There are young players at both DE and DB that I still think can be pretty good. They just need time.

At some point BO will be in position to be selective on the freshmen he plays. He’s there with the offense. Freshmen are all reserves on that side of the ball, playing behind quality veterans.

If the staff hits on a good portion of their recruits from 2016-2019 the defense will be good again.

Through 3 games the DE two deep has produced 11 hurries on 113 passing attempts. It sounds like Haley is close to pulling the trigger on letting Hansford and Jeffcoat take meaningful snaps.
