I mailed Harsin a couple twentys to sweeten the pot a little.

I believe yes on Harsin. And Anderson. I haven’t seen Clark’s name come up anywhere.

I can't wait to hear you cry about McElwain everyday.
JQ you've literally been wrong about every single thing over the last two years.
"Odom's going to win big here, he's the guy!"

McElwain is just not a good hire. I know you want to spin it, but he’s not.
Football wise it’s merely ok. Optics are bad. He’s weird. He’s awkward. He’s a liar. He’s an epic a-hole that people don’t like to work with. He drew a line in the sand with the Florida administration from day 1. Little upside. The fans don’t want him.
It’s, overall, just a poor hire. I don’t think the 6 or 7 wins a year is going to overcome all of that.
The difference here is, even though I don’t like the hire, I won’t do my best to bury him before he even coaches a game. Hopefully this guy gets a chance.

OK.... I'm guessing after reading a lot this morning most are expecting the hire to be Mac??

Expecting, hoping, cursing, guessing, throwing-a-dart.
No one, espcially the internet scribes, knows what to expect.
Except me.

I don’t expect it. It seems most likely it’s a coach who has a game this Saturday. That could be Kiffin, Clark, Anderson, Harsin or Mac.
People it’s not: Healy or the Tulane guy.
Dark horse: Clawson.

McElwain has won 8 games everywhere he's coached.
He's been a CoY at EVERYWHERE he's coached

That doesn’t dispute anything in my post.

What I was thinking also
Has anyone tracked the flights this go around... I remember before Odom was hired we knew Heupel was in the mix just based on where the plane was.

I think they’ve done most of the interviews out of town in hubs. Makes it harder to guess what’s happening.

Maybe Sterk had DD give him some power point tips. That could have only helped.

The search firm is based out of Atlanta. I would all the interviews took place there.

You don't understand the power his nipples wield over the goons.

That doesn't mean crap when you get fired 2 years later! Florida is where he was coaching at. It is a top 5 school. He flopped just like Muschamp did. Started out good then flopped. Muschamp started out good at South Carolina as well and flopped ever since.

Healy would be 10 times the hire McElwain would be.

I understand you're bitter.. Odom made you and his 12 fans look foolish
Why not go back and read your 5 paragraphs of complete BS when we hired Odom
Then come back and talk shite...

Talk shite about what?
If this whole fiasco ends with McElwain as our coach then we’ve seriously fricked up. Now, of course anything can happen even if odds are low. Nobody thought BO was getting fired coming into this year. The wheels fell off. Partially his inadequacies, partially things out of his control. Partially because Sterk didn’t like him. He got four years. If we are going to allow that McElwain might peak over his ceiling then it’s only reasonable to allow that last year was a speed bump that Odom could have gotten around.
If we purge our recruiting class, roster and any continuity we had in the program for a old SEC East retread with several red flags then this whole thing was a failure from top to bottom. Thems the facts. We had an opportunity to take a chance for something better, but were either too scared to try or too incompetent to get it done.
ETA: Also let me add that it’s possible nobody knows shite and Sterk can actually pull something off no one expected. Possible, not bloody likely, but possible. At which point I retract my comments and give him credit.
