Do you think I was refering to the posters over there? I'm refering to Gabe, Pete and company. They are usually pretty close to accurate when they report things. Not refering to the paying posters info.

I'm gonna take the word of a well respected, well connected former teammate who said on a social media site that he was doing cocaine. You can lead a horse but can't make it drink.

Over who or what?
I'm not making accusations here. Just being fair in a situation I don't know the truth about. I still don't know how a former QB could be dismissed for having legal but unlabeled drugs and a current QB doesn't get dismissed while using illegal drugs. Not once but twice and is still here. All this happened under the same head coach. Pinkel get soft? It just doesn't make sense.

Don't Mike Mauk and Pinkel go back a long ways in Ohio football circles? I always thought that's how the (alleged) superstar Maty got recruited by MU.

These both jive with what I was told. He wasn't caught by police, nor turned in, which is why there is no confirmation. He was suspended, but they weren't required to turn him in. I really, really hope he gets himself together. But if this is accurate, I don't see how he could regain the confidence of his teammates and coaches .

Bottom line is the guy did enough to be suspended twice. One within hours of being reinstated. That's enough for me to say good bye regardless of how accurate anything else is.

Barry was right there all last season. I'm sure he knows the truth from a first-hand basis. I'm going to trust the decision he makes. I also think he is going to have all the players on a very short leash.
