re: Watching Collins Hill in GA high school (Sam Horn) ...

I was watching that game and was amazed at his arm. And didn't make the Mizzou connection. He's gonna be something!!!

I'm not sure why anyone got excited about him in the first place.

There's probably 10 high school teams in MO that could put a butt whoopin on MU.
One interesting stat I saw (before I turned the TV off in the first quarter)...MU has given up over 1000 yards before the first touch by the defense.

Well, we will be able to follow his every move as long as Live PD keeps a crew in Greene County.

We quickly forget that this is only BO's 3rd season as a head coach. I'm surprised he has a .500 record.
And that so-so record is largely due to the prowess of Drew Lock.
Absent Lock, and based on Odom's clock management and selection of coordinators, a .200 record is more probable.

I saw some stuff this morning where Atlanta is looking at their back-up QB situation, behind Ryan. I don't see Lock starting next year, at least not anywhere outside the State of Ohio.
Because Lock grew up in the KCMO area, I think he'd have to hold his nose to sign with any team in the AFC West, especially Oakland.

What do you say to a TN football player wearing a 3 piece suit?
"Will the defendant please rise?"

I dont care if the defense gave up 999 yards, as long as they dont put up very many points. points are worse than yards.
Remember that while "they" are rolling up 999 yards, "they" have the ball, which keeps "us" from scoring.

Dooley is done trying to pad Locks resume. Mizzou runs the ball and throws to the TE downfield. Mizzou by 20.
I certainly hope you are right. Three yards and a cloud of dust offensively keeps our sorry-arse pass defense off the field.

And they are still a LONG way from Jeff City's 71 straight games. And 33 of those games were shutouts.

Really?
Who knew we had a tactical guru in our midst? I bet CM just laid awake last night wondering where he could go to "learn" some coaching skills.
re: Is he a Lock for the Heisman?

The sports radio in the Atlanta area are all over Fromm and, secondarily, the Penn State QB. According to them, no point in playing any games this fall, Fromm is a shoo-in.

Mizzou needs to win at least 10 games before a bowl invite for Lock to be considered unless he goes off for something crazy like 4800 yards and 50TDs. Even then, they’d need a big win against Bama or UGA
I like the way you think.
re: Arkansas/Mizzou a real rivalry?

I the State of MO were to cede the bootheel to AR, it would increase the average IQ of both states about 15 points.

Barry will win 5 games and stay. With the schedule left I'm almost certain.
And 3 of the 4 coaches he will face in those last games are on seats equally as hot as BO's.
Competition for Head Coaches?

It appears that there could be as many as half of the SEC HC spots open up: FL, TN, MO, Ole Miss, Arky, aTm, LSU, and Auburn. Some are pretty certain, others are somewhat speculative. But all of the schools have a disgruntled fan base.
I just read a story that has Jon Gruden going to TN for $10Mil/yr.

As an aside, I saw something last night that I have never seen happen before in FB at any level. The UConn coach sent Summers to the locker room after he got called on an unsportsmanlike conduct for throwing the ball at the Mizzou guy following the interception. I hope BO noted that and will toss Moore the next time he shows his arse.

Oh, it's turned the corner, alright. Doubled back on being bad, spiraling down at warp speed. The island of Puerto Rico is in better shape than our FB program.
re: What does BO have to do to win your support?

All of this talk about recruits is interesting. It got me to thinking about Pete Adkins, the legendary coach of the Jeff City Jays. Pete did what good coaches do. He took what he had to work with and coached them to over 400 wins during his career. He didn't have the luxury of picking a player from somewhere out of state, he made some All-Americans out of local boys. Even a few NFL stars.
I don't think for one second that the athletic gene pool in Jeff City was any better than that at Hickman in COMO or Rockhurst or CBC in StL. It all came down to knowing how to get the best out of what you have...
And knowing X's and O's is only part of the deal. HCBO may know the mechanics...but he sure hasn't instilled the desire to win and succeed.

Yeah. Until he undid all of Steck's schemes and failed miserably in teaching a new one.
