Saturday Down South and the Jefferson city News-Tribune are reporting that HCBO has reinstated Maty Mauk.

This oughta be good.

My wife was in the other room and I read the article to her out loud. All she said was "oh, fuxx! oh, fuxx!, maybe 20 or 30 times. Then she referred to Odom's parentage.

And I'm the Mizzou grad, not her.

I look at this not from a team aspect but a person aspect. I applaud Odom. If for anything, just that one last chance to let MM get his life straight. If he blows it, no one can say Odom and MU didn't do all they could do to help him out of his mess. I don't think Odom will allow MM to damage the team, he'll dump MM before he'll allow that to happen.

I hope MM can right his ship and help this team. To end his college time on a positive note.

I view Odom's acceptance of Mauk back as pragmatism.

He wants to win and win now. And Mauk gives him a high quality option at his most important position.

It's a calculated gamble he's willing to make based on the potential upside.

Yep. You guys want to win or not? We just had a thread about needing a bagman. Let's not be hypocritical

Actually taking the job probably was his biggest mistake! Kidding aside this is a horrible mistake.

The answer is very simple if Printz is, in fact, graduating early. If true, the depth chart is:

1. Lock
2. Mauk
3. Zanders
4. Zane Jacoby
5. Eric Laurent (yes, the WR)

Without Mauk on the team it's ugly.

1. Lock
2. Zanders
3. Jacoby
4. Laurent.

I agree; it's purely pragmatic. I bet his leash is more like a choke collar though.
