"I live 30 minutes from Athens".

There's 2.5 million people 30 minutes from Athens. A total 5.8 million within a hour drive.

The statistical area around Boone county has 260k.

Nothing about their situation is similar to getting people from KC and STL to make a 4 hour round trip the weekend after Easter to watch the #1s play a couple series.

Serious question....have we had our spring game? I guess I could look it up but guess I got better things to do.

I'd love to know the stations people are talking about if they've heard it on STL radio. I listen to nothing but sports, though admittedly not as much on the AM side the last month or more. I have heard a grand total of ZERO Mizzou related commercials for the spring game and absolutely ZERO Mizzou folks on the radio talking it up. I have heard about Porters and basketball though, so there is that.

Serious question. Where are you getting these numbers. All of Clarke County, which is almost a 30 minute drive to the outskirts from Athens, is about 123,000 people from what I read. That is a far cry from 2.5 million.

The drive from Atlanta is about the same as the drive from St. Louis or KC to Como. Shorter for some, longer for others depending what side of ATL you're coming from. The STL and KC metro areas together are probably comparable to the 5.8 million you reference.

That I agree with.

Downtown Atlanta to downtown Athens is 70 miles.
In comparison downtown KC and STL are both 120 miles away.

There are 475K in the counties that border Clark county and Clark itself. Gwinnett County alone has 940,000 people in it. Its 40 miles from Athens to Lawrenceville. If you cant get down GA29 in 30 minutes, you aren't trying or had to shite twice. Rockdale and Newton add another 200K. DeKalb County(750K) is 45 minutes away on a bad day. That's 2.36 million people by my math. If you want to argue what google tells you about travel times, be my guest.
