Let’s say we add Graves AND Thomas?

What’s the ceiling for this group adding Bryant, Nance, Thomas and Graves to what we already have coming back and surely a handful of impact freshman?

Is that a team that can challenge for a berth to Atlanta? A spot in the CFP?

The tough part in getting too carried away is we have likely the two best teams in the country in our conference.

Second or third in the SECE. Georgia is still better, and Mizzou plays at Georgia.

Our route to the playoffs would be to lose only to uga and they have a single loss somewhere else. Then get their second loss against bama in the sec championship. Then we backdoor in with a one loss team. I don’t see us being able to handle bama in the seccg.

We don’t have a route to the playoffs that doesn’t involve winning the SEC. We’re not Bama or Georgia.

The only route is the playoff expanding. That’s expanding with automatic qualifiers.

There is some discussion of expanding to 8 teams.

Agreed, we aren’t ever going to backdoor a bid.

I'm good with that; we seriously need to WIN the SEC and regardless of what anyone says, next years schedule is favorable to do that but we need Bryant or Powell to be more than serviceable; we need them to produce numbers.

GA is good but TBH they don't scare me.

Same here. They don't scare me but I do recognize the talent advantage.

Also, Kirby and his boys recognize Mizzou is not scared and will compete so they'll come in ready to play.

I say ceiling is 2nd/3rd in the SEC if everything falls in place, but I anticipate 1-3 losses and that has more to do with how competitive the east/SEC is as a whole.

We are due for a UGA win. We've played them very tough. in 2019 we beat UGA but lose to USCe, but win the East because of head to head win over UGA. Then we beat LSU in SECCG.

Book It!

LSU ain’t sniffing the West title unless Mahomes comes to QB for that miserable arse offense.

You already know my thoughts even without them. With that schedule, the only game I see that would not surprise me if we lost is the UGA game. Getting these guys just solidifies that. From there is depends on if they, in fact, beat teams like UK and SC and can someone do us a favor and knock off UGA.

They have Auburn and A&M as their West opponents. We have Ole Miss and Arky.
With SC, Tenner and Florida at home for us.
