Did it need to be? It doesn't seem like an apology or back tracking at all.

He posted last week that he doesn't feel like he has enough white friends, should I have posted that as well? It doesn't have any relevance to this situation either, but frick it, why not.

Why does he need to apologize any more than admitting he said the wrong thing? Why do people think he owes them an apology? KE understands that what he tweets will be scrutinized and he is man enough to deal with it. He seems to accept the consequences in the now and understand it may have repercussions in the future.

Because those are the same fans that have supported him for years. For whatever portion he wants to critique there are 95% more that followed him, looked up to him, worshipped him, praised him. Just as you have talked here about him being a poster child for him to act that way to the very university that has treated him so well and he reportedly loves is quite a turn of the tale.

Being a dumbass and then righteously shouldering the burden of your unfounded comments doesn't make you a man, it makes you dumb for making the comments in the first place.

Also I fondly remember English during his senior night speech saying " hands down the best fan base in the nation"

The Clarkson PG experiment obviously failed. I'm still on board with Haith, I like the level of talent he's getting. But if Clarkson comes back and Haith puts him at PG, I'll be very very sad.

The way I see it, Kim is an emotional young man and wears it on his sleeve. Being a young man he is still emotionally immature. Don't get me wrong, I like Kim as a player, alot, but he needs to learn not to shoot from the hip and really think about what he tweets before he does it.

LOL! I must have been posting on the wrong Mizzou boards during KE's time at MU, because until his senior season he was everyone's favorite whipping boy. Get real.

Then he needs thicker skin. Mizzou fans are no different than any other fans in the country and Kim looks like a fool crying about it in the public realm.

When I think about the money donated to the TSF over the years, the years of fruitless football etc it makes me even more agitated that he cant filter his thoughts before dumping on the very group of people who have financed and supported the athletic programs, and him personally, at Mizzou long before KiM arrived and will still be there long after he is gone.

He just needs to shut his mouth. There is some irony to be found here.

"Dont criticize the team or players during a rough period" yet he turns around and does it to the backers, financial and emotional, of the program during a frustrating season for the fans.

The one person in this discussion that posts and tweets under his real name needs thicker skin? There is irony there. Why does everybody owe everybody something? You give to TSF, great, think of it like charity though. Nobody owes you anything in return. You go to games and cheer your team, great, think of it like entertainment though. You help pay for part of one scholarship a year, yet the revenue that BB and FB players bring in, pays for hundreds of secondary sport scholarships. They put 40 hours a week in on practice, training, travel and game time. They earn their scholarship money, yet you feel like somebody owes you. SMH

bullshite.

I never said he owes me anything. He is free to say what he wants and I am free to point out he looks like a fool. Also, yes,he needs thicker skin if he thinks that Mizzou fans are "the worst". fricking please....

Its funny that you say that we are detached donors and fans who dont really have a stake in the program and its just "entertainment" then turn around and defend Kim because he thinks the fan base is too critical. So the fans should shut up and Kim should bash away....thats hypocritical and ironic right there.

Shake your head all you want but you are full of hypocritical contradictions.

Jerry Palm thinks we're different. Quoting from his twitter;

"For months, my twitter feed is full of fans making the case for their team. Missouri fans are different. They absolutely BURY their team."

I agree with what KE said, from long observance. He may have over generalized, but there is a faction of this fanbase that's gonna hate every chance they get. Look at HCGP. He's been more successful by far than anyone at MU since the 60's-yet after one bad season, most of the posters on these boards who are MU fans wanted him gone. Then last season happened, and all the bitchers have gone into the closet, awaiting the next chance to have at him-meanwhile they've turned their attention to Haith, since there they got some wiggle room.

Mizzou fans are no different or worse than any other fan base. If you think they are, you dont get around the internet very much.

Kim even admitted as much in that thread on PM but didnt want to delete his tweets out of principle.

The internet fringe of EVERY fan base can be crazy.

Haith deserves criticism. The players deserve criticism for this year. In what world do we live in where legit criticism for poor performance is frowned upon? If Kim doesnt like the internet fringe crazies, i get that, but thats not what he said. He threw the whole fan base under the bus and looked like a moron for not filtering his thoughts, yet again, on social media.

Maybe its about time for some MORE in our fan base to demand better performance from our AD and teams to go along with the hat in hand looking for more money since joining the SEC. Just one look at the number of conference titles tells the story fairly clearly.

I get around the internet plenty. Read and have posted on numerous other team boards over the last 12 or so years. There are suicide note carrying fans in every fanbase, but it looks to me like MU has more than it's fair share.

Jerry Palm seems to agree.

If you think Mizzou fans are "Worse" then you obviously dont.

You keep going back to this but it doesnt prove what you think it proves. He was bombed 2 years ago by Mizzou fans bitching about him not giving them a #1 SEED.

Do you think this team deserves an NCAA bid?

I cant stand the fringe sunshine pumping corner of our fan base where speaking in realist tones or asking tough questions and or leveling criticisms makes one a "bad fan"

Legitimate criticisms are one thing, shrill rhetoric and gross overgeneralizations are another. You claimed 95% of the fans supported Kimmee while he was here, and that was BS-but I didn't see you retracting it.

And Palm is an independent observer, with no rooting skin in the game.

Maybe some MU fans need to take their own advice about developing thicker skins?

You mean like Kim's comments about the fan base?

Yes, he is. Strange he didnt say the same thing when he was getting bombed by a passionate Mizzou fan base begging for a 1 seed a couple years ago.

My skin is fine. Pointing out Kim is a hypocrite and put his foot in his mouth again is nothing more than exactly what it is.

You didnt answer the question, do you think this team deserves an NCAA bid?
