Yeah, I know what you're saying. I was referring more to the initial hire of Heupel.

I didn’t not know that he replaced the offensive OC. Was the newspapers and other medium told therefor about this? Do you think if that then he will do it again?

You know it takes time to learn new offense with a new OC? Not take overnight or 6 games. It will take a couple of years to get the program to be great again. Heupel still could not get the team to beat a rank team. But Dooley got it done! The offense is a lot better but it will need another year to get the offense identity that recruits and the coaches wants and that can be efficiency against good defense. Give Missouri more time to improve and be more consistently throughout the season.

Another example is many on here wanted Barry Odom fired. Also got a list of coaches who might be a good candidate to replace Odom. That is embarrassing! Also some were saying Missouri will be 6-6 or something like that and he will be fired. Odom will be fired next year so it will be another year being wasted. How do some of you know that? Can you predict the future?

Yes y’all lose one hell of a QB , but your O line looks to be in great shape next year. You’ll have 3 top notch running backs. Your Defence will still be solid. I think Odom coaches them to a 9 or 10 win season. The year after that maybe win the east. You’ve got to like the guy. I like him and he’s not our coach. Hope y’all win the next 3 and then your bowl. That will help recruiting. I hope he doesn’t feel like he’s gonna get fired every week. That would suck.

I couldn't have said it better myself. If our offense identity can be efficiency, Barry Odom will be coach long time.

Yeah, Odom isn't capable of winning 9 to 10 games in a season.

It’s way too early in his career to say that. It might end up being true, but we won’t know until his 6th or 7th season as a HC.

Unless he falls flat the last 3 games of this season he’s likely to be here that long.

Would y’all be happy winning out ? Would be a 9 win season. Pretty damn good. Next year 10. I know it hurts to lose. Believe me. I’m a gamecock fan. I’ve been thru the 11 and the 1 years.

My point was, he’s got a solid chance to do just that...THIS year. Will be big favorites in the last 3 games.

I’m guessing you don’t think it will happen, but pretty bold to say he isn’t capable when that is what he’s tracking

Everything is obviously fluid. Bottom line, if he does well, he will and should be retained. We have no idea how this year, much less next year, will pan out. My biggest concern is that it seems like half of a season, his teams just seem like they haven't been coached at all. It's not the loss to UK or even SC. It's how they played in the loss. His biggest hurdle for me is eliminating games like UK, SC, UGA, and Purdue.

But how do we know if it's the coaching or just the execution?

Pinkel had those types of games 20 years into his head coaching career. After taking down OU in 2010 he had back to back duds against Nebraska and Texas Tech.

Point is almost every team has games like that every year.
