Again we have guys on our staff better than Monken, Dooley is better than Monken and has experience at the high SEC level, Monken is a minor league Wishbone gadget coach.

Monken actually runs quite a bit of stuff out the pistol and shotgun formations too. Mostly he sticks with the flexbone but not all the time.
Regardless, while I have quite a bit more respect for Monken than you do, he's not the coach that Missouri needs.

I could get on board if I knew who he was bringing with him as the OC. Bring a spread guy in as the OC and the negative recruiting behind his background wouldn’t be as much.

Duke ran the option vs Bama this year because they knew Bama wasn't ready for it. It caught them off guard for about a quarter and a half, then Bamas athletes took over.
