As someone who lives in Alabama, at least for now, i really don't find it racist. I think the races get along rather well, outside of a few rednecks and jackasses. There is still natural segregation, whether intentional or not. And there are individual acts of racism, and individuals who are racist, but you have that everywhere. But I don't believe individual acts of racism necessarily make a place racist.
I was glad to see the Curators make this move today. While it took some time, hopefully they did things the right way and made it fair so she can't claim wrongful termination. Right move, good riddance.

These types of incidents happen all the time in dozens of universities. The context that this happened in made it a big press deal. That's all.

Clearly I hitched myself to the mizzou bandwagon because of all of those championships we are so known for, Tennessee clearly winning so much now so that's who I fell back too. Does the shite you type really make sense to u?

Amen to that. I've lived in the Midwest myself and it was far more segregated then anywhere I've lived in the South.
