Here's my info: the Mizzou search committee led by AD Jim Sterk has recommended Arkansas State coach Blake Anderson to the board of trustees to be the next football coach at M.U. Board of trustees apparently not enamored, want a more recognizable name. Anderson 46-30 at ASU.

Because Sterk had no plan when he fired Odom. Operated on emotion, and severely overplayed his hand. He thought he could do better but never made sure he could.

That being said, Anderson is not a poor coach. He could do okay here.

I find this highly unlikely. Seems like an agent driven thing.

If I am wrong, then I am wrong. I know zero things.

Sure about that???

Please share any logic that backs up that statement. Mac has had big success at Anderson's level, while Anderson has deliver Odom-like success.....at ASU.

Mac had a couple good seasons at Florida, while (see above for Anderson)

Concur. You don't eat $10 million in salaries and hand the keys to a $110M complex to the coach from Jonesboogie.

I hope you are right. If Sterk fired Odom to get...Anderson, this decision ranks up there with playing dime defense against an Iowa State offense led by a QB wearing gloves on both hands.

If it's Andersen why aren't they announcing it now.? They would/should be getting out front and making their case

Maybe it will play out like the time the BOT was ready to fire Alden at the same time he was ready to introduce Suitcase as the new basketball coach.

How does a search firm recommend Anderson over Clark or Clawson? Builders of programs.

Lol...you’re going to have to explain what makes you sure any other coach that has been publicly connected to the job is and better than Anderson.

The problem here lies with Sterk. He got out over his skis.

This, or something in the same relative neighborhoods of this, was always going to be the outcome.

I’m not ecstatic, and we shouldn’t have fired Odom to end up here but we did. At least it’s not McElwain

I agree with this. Stick with Odom another year if the best you can find is Anderson. I don’t care how well he interviews. Interviews are worth shite.
