Make no mistake about it, Army did not win this game, Eli gifted them an early Christmas present.

He’s Mike Martz, Matheny, and Travis Ford rolled into one. He can recruit his arse off though.

I always wonder how insulated HCs are from the criticism of fans and probably more importantly alumni (especially contributing alumni).

Now before you think I'm suggesting a head coach run a program based on fan input, I'm not. Fans are notoriously fickle and mostly wrong (or at least unaware of what's going on behind the scenes). I'm simply curious how much of that filters to him. Obvious the press asks these questions so maybe he is aware of the discontent with some aspects.

Also, does an AD ever have these discussions (hey Drink, you ever think of adding and OC, we'll put it in the budget next year). While giving my employees authority and freedom to do their jobs as they see fit, I make suggestions or brainstorm with them from time to time. Why wouldn't his boss?

If a coach is on the hotseat or getting close we have seen ADs force some staff changes on them, or at least strongly suggest them.

I want Drink running the program with complete autonomy. Not Desiree. She has no idea what the program needs. He does.

I'm very interested to see if his plays/calling develop and/or change with a QB that can throw the ball down field, and WR that can get after it.

It will be a more challenging schedule next year, with some inexperienced but talented additions. I'd just like to see what it looks like with better QB play. Hopefully, we haven't seen everything Drink brings as the OC.

Same here. Just wondering from where he gets/accepts suggestions.

Guys it was a no name bowl against a no name opponent. Winning the game was not important. If it was certain players would have played

Hell of a recruiter. Play calling needs work. He's young, still learning. Next year will be very interesting I think, as more of "His" guys get on the field.

No one is taking these games seriously anymore, except perhaps the Service Academies. It's a damn shame, but bring on an expanded playoff sooner than later.

Evidently his loyalty to Bazelak only went so far. Too far perhaps, but clearly CB knew his time was over at Mizzou.

My only issue with his play calling is his dedication to the trick play even when it isn't necessary. Army had no answer for Youngs quickness, just run him off tackle for the TD.

I truly think his offense was handcuffed by CB's talent ceiling. And really, no one would have guessed that CB wouldn't progress this season. It was a hell of a sophomore slump. Let's see what happens when he has guys who get separation, combined with an effective running game. And also a more aggressive offense because he's not trying to avoid putting the defense on the field.
