2013 should have been the moment.

Tre Mason even said we'd have beat them if we'd have had a clue on defense.

Steckel is nothing more than a side note to Missouri and the dumb shite that happens to us.

Win that game and everything changes, the uphill climb is no more.

Instead we're dealing with shite like in the op.

e we really going to bemoan the job Pinkel does here? Good god, guys.

I acknowledge that I was upset... Pinkel has built a solid program. At the same time you can question things about the current program as well.

He has built a solid top 25 program with that success comes scrutiny when you have given fans a level of success that has not been attained prior to his arrival.

This current generation does not know the struggle that proceeded Pinkel so when you see a program that has 10 wins season and nothing else, what do you complain about? The answer is lack of respect and championships.

Steckel's history against option offenses is so bad I don't even want to look at it.

Yep, we will always be working an uphill battle.

And it's because of what happened 30 years ago.

What GP has done is amazing, and it still isn't enough.

frick Babs. frick her right in her wrinkled up worthless old pussy.

If Pinkel had a record other than 0-4 in conference championship games I think everyone would be singing a different tune.

The real problem is he hasn't gotten over that hump yet.

2016 or 2017 has a real possibility though with the youth on this team.

so basically the difference between a runner up and a champion is winning the big game that he has never won.. ok.

The weird thing is Pinkel and a bunch of you seem to think that if his "luck changes" he will magically win that game, the fact is the only reason he has even come close is because his luck HASN'T changed.

OK. You convinced me.

Blowout Pinkel and the entire offensive staff.

Bring in a hot shot recruiter like Randy Shannon and roll those dice like a muthafricker.

Got it.

Right. The coaching has to improve.

Let's remember we've literally beat nobody the last two years. We beat teams we should've beat and got our shite pushed in when we were supposed too.

We need coaching up grades and recruiting upgrades..

You said it best. People think we are 0-4 in CCG because of some "luck" lol

Why are we 0-4 in CCG. I'm not saying it doesn't work. Of course it does especially if you're one to fap to regular season win totals.

When does the next step happen? When does the program elivate it's game?

Wins, drafted players, wins, drafted players, wins

I don't expect Pinkel to be the coach to get us over the mountain top. He could, but I'm not expecting it.

With Missouri being as bad as they were, for as long as they were, I'm willing to let Pinkel play out his tenure and then try for the next rung with his replacement on the foundation Pinkel built.

Enjoy bitching about not being a blueblood when nothing in our history suggests we should be.

I think what frustrates me so much is that previously the defense as the reason we lost big games. Steck had his good points, but the triple option is his kryptonite, and he was not good at adjustments. Now we have a defense that could be elite, and the offense is just putrid. I'm not used to offenses this bad from Mizzou.

I'm no longer willing to defend Mauk. I think he's thoroughly detrimental to our season. Sure, he scored the TD, but if he was even half a leader he would not have been in that position. Pinkel obviously doesn't think Lock is completely ready, and maybe he's right. But Mauk has no chemistry with his skill players, and with him at QB I'll be surprised if we win more than 2 conference games. Maybe if Hansbrough comes back 100% we can salvage a decent record, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Pinkel insults the fans by saying Mauk's 14-2, when the fans know the defense is 14-2.

this..

yep we do know it, at least some of us do.

if we are "unlucky" that Stec was clueless at scheming an option defense we were just as "lucky" that Kul wasn't a job hopper and we had Dline that could scrape by those close games to even get us to ATL.

that's my point exactly, there has been plenty of luck helping this team, we haven't "just missed" anything on the winning side that we didn't "just miss" losing either..
