Last year wasn't very good. Today was embarrassing against an FCS team. I refuse to believe that the talent they're recruiting are all so bad that they are owned up front by an FCS team. It has to be the coaching.

I'm not saying he needs to go after one game, but how long do you continue to go on like this before you find a new OLine coach?

Last years Oline came around by the end of the season. We better hope they do so this year as well. Mauk & the receivers aren't good enough to carry the offense.

Let's remember how young the receivers are. I think they will get better. I'm a little more concerned about RB. And Mauk has to man up.

WR's are just fine. I agree. Couple of drops still today but I love the depth and the talent they showed.

The biggest question is at RB. Followed by OL.

Agree with that too. Witter just ain't the answer. I recall being shocked he got the nod over Walters last year. I missed Abbington's reps at the very end. Nothing there?

Steward got some chances but didn't impress but I'm giving him a break coming back. Still holding out hope for him.

Steward looked tentative to me, just a little bit. Maybe to be expected given how long he took to recover from the hip injury. Abbington looked ok, but not great. The mubobby comments about not putting on weight in juco, and running too tall looked right on to me. I thought he looked skinny for a RB. Much more like a receiver.

The OLine didn't help the backs much. There weren't many runs where first contact was beyond the LOS. Other than the first drive of the second half.

Pinkle doesn't fire coaches.
So Ricker gets as long as he wants.

How does a D1 lineman not know how to run block?

Maybe it's time to get a big back again. Wouldn't mind having a fullback type to gut run now and then.

Hunt serves that role now.

You think he's a fleet footed type of back that is bouncing things outside and making defenders miss?

Disagree, just the opposite. It all starts UP-FRONT in the trenches.

We have "big-time" rushing issues. We have VERY experienced OL. And they can't/didn't push a decent FCS team's DL. I was there. Less than 100 yds. rush against a FCS!!! The word in Cape this morning is that the SEMO coaches are giddy on their DL penetration. I've learn in life that it always starts at the top. And that's Pinkel and Ricker. We had this same problem last year and it cost us. At the same time, I remember 2013. That team improved each and every game...it was amazing. I say there is nowhere to go but up in the rush game for dear ol' Mizzou. I guarantee Arky State is watching that screwed-up Tiger OL.

Is Ricker the issue??? I'm starting to maybe lean that way. But HCGP will stay with him until Pink retires, no doubt.

The offensive line play was lacking after Hansbrough and Beohm were injuried very early on. To point fingers at the new OLine coach is a joke. I guess they should get it over with and fire Ricker and put Pinkel on probation.
