I think Sterk and Odom didn’t get along.
I think Sterk fired him thinking out of Harsin, Norvell, and Kiffin one of them would want to come here. I think that Ole Miss opening through him off a bit with another mouth to feed. Norvell passed with eyes on FSU and Kiffin passed with eyes on Ole Miss or Arkansas. And Harsin wants to stay at his Alma Mater. This has left Sterk where everyone thinks we sit right now.
If Sterk has his ducks in row I believe it’s probably Harsin. Which I’d be happy about.
I’m guessing option 1. Hope I’m wrong and I have no inside knowledge.

That would fit the MO with Cuonzo.
I also think it’s someone who is viewed as an upgrade that requires Laurie money to pull off. We don’t need Laurie money to hire Blake Anderson. We might not even need Odom money.

I agree with this. I think if Sterk has it together it’s either Harsin, Clark, or my pick from the beginning hope on hope fickell. It’s gonna be someone not getting a ton of run. If it’s Fritz or Anderson I think that’ll show things fell apart. You couldn’t convince me one of those guys was his from the beginning.

But if it “fell apart,” then we’d just have gone back to the drawing board. There is no need to have a hire announced this weekend. It would be one week ahead of his own schedule. We could’ve added more names and gone on.

It’s hard to say. Could be several things. Sterk could be sending out false information to distract and give the media a ball of yarn to play with. Could be they saw a piece of a preliminary list of candidates we had vetted - a Muratorian fragment. Or it could be that they’re just absolutely making shite up or they have goofball sources.

Odom had trouble with getting along with assistant coaches too.
