Gold.

"They're classless and I was glad when their running back got hurt!"

Wut?

An entire thread devoted to us belonging in the B1G.

Just pure gold.

Just scrolled down one thread. Head shaking all the way through. The I got to this post.....

"Their rb was carted off at the end. Oh well. If that's how they want to play, that shows we can stoop to their level too."

Ah, really? Stooped to our level of what? Kicking some arse? Didn't look like it to me.

It never really changes does it?

Damn and they said Arkansas could beat ANY team in the Country. Hell Mizzou should have won by 10. Sad. Sorta like the Tenn game, should have won by more.

ETA: Did Mizzou cost themselves another TD, I was on the hwy, heard it bounced off someone shoulder pads, if so then Mizzou should have won by 17.lol.

Great Job

There were several drops. The one you are referring to is the one Hunt dropped. I don't know if he would have scored though. His momentum was carrying him out of bounds. Doesn't mean it wouldn't have set up a TD. But the offense was stepping in post holes at the time. Woke up in the 4th.

I'm not sure what is more pathetic, how sore losers they are or the blatant spelling errors in the thread titles.

"To lurking Mizzery fans...

One of your best teams in a long time struggled and was lucky to beat a rebuilding 6-6 Arkansas team.

Y'all won, congrats."

"I never did here why derby didn't play" <-- this is a real thread title.

"Mizzou lost lots of respect from me today"

again:

frick them, they have the worst posters on this site by a long shot. Some of the shite they post would make TigerNick blush.

One of our best teams ever? Christ they sound like tejas fans over there. I might love this team as much as any of the previous GP teams but it's because they've accomplished what they've accomplished and they're not our best team under GP, much less ever.

I don't know if it's this way for you with me... But you consistently post what I'm about to as I'm scrolling through a thread. Multiple, multiple times. And you're right - this crew is far from Pinkel's best, but they are probably the dearest to my heart because of how gutsy they are and how they simply refuse to lose. The defense sets the tone and the offense does what's needed to get the job done.

I was telling my daughter early in the 4th when it was 14-6, "This is the way this team has played all year. The offense struggles, the defense is keeping it close, and then watch - the offense is going to hit a big play and win this." And the very next play was the bomb to Jimmie Hunt.

What was truly impressive though, was how the OLine destroyed them in the 4th quarter. Total destruction.

And I'm sure I'm with you on this too, Reedus - Missouri has a great shot to win next weekend. And I really don't care if it's Bama or M-State. After last year's near miss, the stage won't be too big for them. EVERYONE will write them off (again) and they might just Shock The World (again).

It's certainly Pinkel's best coaching job ever. He needs to tighten up the ST's, but this team's the tits.

All the time.

When the 4th quarter hit, this team just was NOT going to be denied. Every single player on the field had an extra bounce in their step. Mauk. The WR's. The RB's. And you're damn right, the OLine.

No question. Back before the UT game, they actually quoted me and said I was crazy when I posted here that I'd put us up against anyone with this defense. And I still believe it. Even posted a thread saying championships are won with defense. Ray and Golden set the tone every play, but it's not just them. Remember the questions we had at QB? How about Dennis stepping up. The safeties have been solid. Yes, I don't care who we play, we'll have a shot because of this defense, whether we win or not is another story, but we'll have a shot.
