Team came out pretty strong from the opening bell. Pinson and Dru both had their best halves in the first half that built the lead.

Auburn was sneaking back in when their own player sabotaged them. The refs attempted to call a foul on Pickett and had to go the monitor and ejected the Auburn player for stepping on Pickett as a dead ball foul and also hooking and holding Pickett. That was a huge swing of momentum.

Nikko was solid. Mitchell Smith looked lost for stretches. Braun had two key dunks to stem momentum. Kobe got a couple shots.

Turnovers were kept low.

Too many fouls called. And too many fouls committed. Though the refs called five or so fouls on us that weren’t fouls.

Rotations got weird in the second half again, but half the team was in foul trouble and it looked like Jackson may have had cramps.

Great win. Happy for Cuonzo. Couple this with the performance at LSU and maybe he’s finally figuring this team out.

Haven't watched a game in a long time. Picked the right night to watch one. Pinson was unreal. Dru was solid as ever. Son was at the game and said he hasn't seen the place that electric in his 2 years there. Bonus was I got to see him on TV.

Don't think Jackson played in the 2nd half. Agree about that momentum shift 808. He didn't do much, but I'd say that Watson's 3 also came at a big time.

Good win. Keep playing like that and I'll definitely be tuning in.

Congrats, guys. The Bills were so close to getting a signature win against them in Birmingham.

Yeah. Little bit of the “old feel” of a good Mizzou crowd there.

Cuonzo is building a program. Progress is slow and frustrating at times, but I will keep saying it. He is the man for the job.

I think more people will see that after tonight.

People call for his head a lot but forget just how bad of a program he took over. Expectations were crazy high because of the Porter commits. But I agree he is the right man for the job.

It’s disappointing that our current conference mates don’t understand the good old days where a ranked big 12 or big 8 team would come to Hearnes and we’d beat the brakes off of them.

Hopefully we can get back to that.

The remaining schedule lays out nicely to climb the SEC rankings and take some momentum into next year:

Ole Miss
@ Arkansas
@ Vanderbilt
Mississippi State
@ Ole Miss
Alabama

His long term concern is that the most athletic recruits don't want to hear about his commitment to defense. They want to score.
