Can we please not bring Tigerboard-isms over here?
Now that we have a board of our own over here, I wonder how many more Mizzou fans we will see showing up? This really is a cool format for a message board.
EDIT: I mean clearly all of us aren't too afraid of the Rant at this point, but I could see it being a little intense to an outsider. So maybe this will be a good place for people to get their feet wet and then head over that way

And these rumors came from Tigerboard. The one about the locker room fight was from someone with insider info.
mubobby, and most people believe he is a definite insider. Alot of his info has been accurate, and he was also one of the first to break the news about us joining the SEC back then, as I recall.

Hey SoCal....I'm more used to the "Fire Yost" threads...
He needs to go...but we all know that isn't going to happen...

I have an idea. Yost is by himself in the box, right? So, have him up there along with one of the OL coaches. They're in direct communication with the other offensive coaches on the sideline. And Hill actually calls the plays from the sideline. This would give the OL coach the opportunity to see exactly what the defenses are doing when they adjust against us, and be an active part of the play calling team. Thoughts?
SEMO a multiple layered play calling system sounds like a clusterfrick in the waiting. Someone needs to be responsible for making the call and that is it. OL coaches are pretty much always on the sideline and meet with OL during the game after every series. It is a part of the together/teamwork OL thing.

He seems to be. Was dead on about DGB, but dead wrong about a move to B1G.

I swear to fricking god if he calls more than 5 QB runs again in one game I'm going to flip shite

I get what you're saying, and it's not perfect. But what we have now isn't working at all. They can't really fire an OC in the middle of the season, and even taking away the play calling from him destroys confidence from the team.
I don't think it's a permanent solution, but something needs to be done to get us through the season, or we could lose every game we play.

FWIW, in addition to being an incredible offensive coordinator, David Yost is also the Blue Power Ranger.
No really, google it.

I can pretty much guess the play from just watching all of our games, I can only imagine how predictable the play calling is if you actually scout our game film
What's funny is, during the South Carolina game, my 12 year old son literally called probably 75% of our plays before we snapped the ball. Maybe just dumb luck but if a 12 year old is picking it up, I'm sure the likes of Saban and others certainly can.

Your 12 year old has a future as a DC. Groom him.

SEMO I agree something needs to be done or we might tailspin totally. I think if Yost is the problem and the staff is cracking like rumored, you could take his playcalling away, that is no worse then having a split staff or mutiple playcallers. One option may be to give more coaches a say in gameplanning. I cannot imagine an OL Coach not wanting some help from TE & RB to help his tackles for example.

I doubt it. He can't take a hit whenever I tackle him in the back yard and if he can't take a hit, he can't play and if he can't play, he can't coach.
Seriously though, the offense is just too predictable for 90% of the game and the plays are just way too slow in developing.

Coaching QB's and coordinating an offense are two entirely different things. He was a good QB coach.

I was just messing around. I am just not a fan of the play calling and frankly not a fan of our spread. I think it served it's purpose at one time but I'm ready to get back to a more traditional offense.
