Eliminate the Vandy upset we all want to think we'll win, what do you think our best chance for an upset is?

I'm guessing Florida, based on last year. However, I wouldn't be surprised if we completely flip the script and give South Carolina a game. I think it's our toughest game, but it seems like a very Mizzou thing to play up to South Carolina and lose a few other games to lesser opponents.

As a second question, which game will be the toughest this year?

I don't think we have a shot against Georgia or South Carolina. USC3 could well be in the championship game for the east.

I think Florida is the best chance for an upset - that won't be the case in 2014, they'll be very strong that year.

And anything can happen against A&M.

Was thinking S Carolina could be our big upset. Maybe they'll come in cocky after last years hammering... think things kind of slipped out of hand really quickly last year, home crowd, maybe we pull it off. If FLA doesn't have a qb step up as a passer, we match up well with them. They use that speed to beat teams, but our dfense can match it.

The toughest game should be at UGA.

I like the idea of playing these teams at CoMo this year.

As we all know, Faruot on a Saturday night...

Anything can happen.

If throwing out Vandy, I'd say our best bet will be UT. I imagine we'll still be the dog in that game, so I assume that's what you mean by upset and that would be our best chance at an upset. If by biggest you mean the best team we play that we could still pull an upset, I'd go with UF. I'm just not impressed by their QB play. Kind of reminds me of Gabbert. Everyone wants to talk about how could he'll be but it never materializes. If we can move the ball better this year, we could win that game. I imagine it will be a game of field position so DGB blocking punts could make the play of the game.

South Carolina has at least one game a year that you just go, "what the frick?" when it happens. (Except for last year). That could be Mizzou.

However, I think it's Florida. You played them really tough last year, and they'll be coming off the LSU game. Mizzou will be coming off the Georgia game, but that should be your only loss at the time.

Texas A&M is also a candidate.

It also really depends on how teams like Ole Miss turn out- that could be a big upset depending on how well they do

Isn't the biggest upset, but probably the biggest chance. Just wasn't sure which way the question was intended.

It wouldn't be an upset, that's why it doesn't count.

Our depleted team beat them on the road last year. They're breaking in a new coach.. we're at home against a team that we beat on one leg last year. It's not an upset. It's far from an easy win, but its not an upset. Forget Vegas.

Florida looks to be the game with the most upset potential.

In our minds it won't be an upset, but I wouldn't be surprised if Vegas doesn't have us as underdogs, if for no other reason that the same reason tejas is always over ranked at the beginning of the year, name alone. If they don't, I'll just go with my other picks.

ETA - I don't know how else to determine underdogs than by looking at the line. I suppose we can just decide for ourselves if we're an underdog regardless of Vegas.

Yes, use that intuition reedus. I know its in there somewhere. UT wouldn't be an upset and you know why. I'll repeat, forget Vegas.. if anything it would be a slight slight difference in the line. Please, for my faith in humanity dig down and use that intuition.

Ok, I'll admit. I'm an idiot. I just wasted how many minutes of my life and way to much of my consciousness debating with you whether or not MU is an underdog to UT or not. Maybe we could put it to a more scientific test and put a poll on the rant. I'd be willing to live with whatever the results.

Naw, I tend to think things out first. If people would stop and think about whether or not what they're saying is just insane before they post it, maybe we wouldn't have crazy arse threads about off the wall shite like the Sandy Hook shooting being fake.

And if ya thought it out you'd know UT game isn't an upset pick. We beat them last year on the road while in disarray. Just trying to help you man up and think, sorry.

So if we're basing it on the year before and what state the program was in at that time, I assume what you're saying is that MU's win over kU in 2009 was an upset because kU beat MU the year before and the kU program was in disarray in 2008 because, well because it is in disarray every year.

If it will make you happy however, we won't be the dog in the UT game.

You've reached max boner level.

Its not just based on last year. In this particular case its relevant to think about last year and what that means for this years game.
We will be stronger this year than last, and we beat them on the road last year. While they are not really supposed to be any better this year than last.

The reason no one else put UT is because they understand why that's not an upset. Now I just wasted part of my day because I'm addicted to not letting people be retarded.

Also, there was no need to degrade me about something I believe. That was pretty stupid.

Seriously?!?!? After the shite slinging? Besides I said you win. UT won't be favored against MU.

shite slinging? Did I miss something?

And I'm fairly certain you're lost in neverland, man.

What are you not getting that the 'line' isn't what is relevant in this decision. For one, we will likely be the favorite in Vegas. For two, no matter what it will likely be under 7 pts. We're basically pretty even programs right now. Its not an upset, at least not in the way the OP meant it to be answered.
