Frick all those that still don't support Mizzou
Take it from an old geezer (Mizzou '75). All the "I'll never support..." statements are heat of the moment vows of anger.
You younger guys (and gal :)) will at some point, if you haven't already, vow to:
1. Never shop at that store again
2. Never buy another damned Ford
3. Never get married again
4. etc.
Now, as time passes, the store changes its policies and/or management, Ford comes out with a retro, jillion-horse Mustang, and the girl of your dreams walks over to you.
The most angry on here are just that. Angry. Give it time and today's vows on here will likely be broken.
As for me, I make no vows one way or the other. I'll soon follow basketball and wrestling...but I'm done with this football team...this year...under these circumstances.
But Mizzou will carry on in academics and successful sports (with the possible exception of an offensive line) :)

Tackle74- That is your mistake
Your opinion...okay. I call it my personal choice. I've made plenty of mistakes and this is not a mistake.
I'm the second generation that went to Mizzou in my family. My daughter is the third. I've paid for my tuition and hers. I'm a long time season tic holder and TSF contributor. I've traveled to bowls and both SECCG's. I've shown-up and paid. I yell for the Tigers while other so-called Mizzou fans just sit and look at me.
I "vote" with my time and money. I've got a motel reservation in KC that requires 24hrs. notice. Already bought the game tics. I've purchased tics for Fayettnam. I'm on hold currently. Yesterday, I cancelled my Miz v. illini bb tics...as my means of protest. The MU tic office lady said that there were many others.
My "choice" is NOT easy for me and my wife. We live Mizzou fb each fall. But I won't support anything PC. I guess I put the best interest of our country ahead of Mizzou. Your choice to support it will only give PC more power, a mistake IMHO. We each have opinions sir.

We can love MU and still be mad, protest, and hold money until the school gets its act together. This crap has been going on for the last several years-cover up in the swimmers death, Paige Arena, GP DUI, Ricky Clemons, numerous arrest, Big Ten begging, bad BB hires, Kansas stealing our Orange Bowl bid, etc, etc. Things need to get better this was pretty much the last straw. A lot of people have let us down right now. So embarrassed. I love MU but furious right now with how this has all been handled. We have a right to be.

Please note - I never said "I'll never". I'm an old geezer too ('79). Yep, wisdom is a darn good thing Literalist.
I'm on the fence and could go either way. When I say this is hard for me, it's a hard choice.
frickin' PC bull.

I attended Mizzou in the 90's. It was liberal then, but so was I. I've grown up and become much more conservative.
I accept that colleges are run by liberals. But I cannot financially support an institution that seems better suited to San Francisco than the midwest. I hope those who think like me will put financial pressure on the University to become more inclusive politically.
I hope things happen to change my mind before my kids are college age. I'm sure the pendulum will swing back some.

What's the old saying...you don't have a heart if you don't graduate as a democrat. And you don't have a brain if you're not a republican by age 30.
Something like that, but you get the point.
Please fell free to attack now liberals.

I'll be the first to admit I got caught up in the moment. I probably have more African American friends than Caucasian. That's some of the reason I stepped a step too far with some replies here. To be honest, at first this whole thing pissed me off. I seen a direct relation to the Feruson deal. Then with other reports comming out, it appeared to be going in the direction of racism problem on campus. Now I'm not so pissed but now we find out that some of this was fabrication. What does anger me about this is the cry wolf deal. Now with things coming out as fabrication it hurts when there is actual racism happening. It's a confusing mess. The media to me is what is still feeding all this. But in hind sight, if it were not for the football team stepping in, it probably wouldn't have went this far. It was them stepping that gave all these stories validation with a good many supporters of the protest that are on the outside looking in. Looking back should have Wolf lost his position? Yes and no. He did nothing personally that warrents him being racist. His inaction or lack of being proactive set him up as a target. My daughter attends another University with a much smaller population but still mixed race wise. They seem proactive with these things. I don't know if MU is the same way. But it seems the administration isn't very proactive. I still agree that the demands are a pipe dream and irresponsible at best.
I still support or back or am a fan of MU, but I'm on the fence with this team. I think they may have got caught up in this without fully understanding, but I'm still in the dark as to their exact reason for involvement. I'll still go to the game Saturday. But with a little different outlook. I'll just accept it as a game and go on.

I have cancelled my tickets for basketball.
I have cancelled my motel reservation in KC for the BYU game. I will not sell my tickets. I want my seats empty.
To hell with the putrid PC crap and CS1950.
These are sad times.

The FB team got played.....plain and simple. They did the dirty work for the 1950 racist organization and the idiot that claimed he wouldn't eat.

IT'S JUST NO!!!! So what if Tim Wolfe didn't align his schedule with anyone else....he's the damn President of the school system. He was bullied out of office and he was the most Mizzou on campus.
Everything boiled down to some kids getting butthurt over being called names.....tough shite! Welcome to the real world where there are no unicorns.
