My 2 points:

1. Pinkel can't have a double standard. He can't preach holier than though and require it from his players if he doesn't live it. I am going to guess he's not doing that and that Singleton's offense, whatever it was, wasn't something simple.

2. I think to compete in the SEC, there's going to have to be a level of understanding that not all the top players are saints. Hell, I would imagine JFF would have been kicked off this team if Pinkel's clean regime of the past were enforced. I certainly don't want murderers and rapists on the team, but I also think we can't compete with a bunch of choir boys is all I'm saying.

Should hired the true family man, Richt. He would been perfect for Mizzou.

Urban Meyer won a National Title with a murderer and a racist.

Still wouldn't want murderers and rapists on our team.

1) Yes he can. Following a standard is not a requirement for enforcing it. Hypocrisy isn't illegal and doesn't prevent someone from enforcement. That is just dumb. If people don't like that, that is their problem and understandably so if they don't like it.

Players are held to different standards than coaches. Players should care how he treats players more than they care how he treats his family. That is what is relevant to them.

Ok, you're right. It's not illegal. Frankly, Pinkel can do anything he wants, even if it is illegal. But doing so might have unfavorable results. I think the unfavorable results from having a double standard is that your recruiting class will be scant of 4* athletes and you'll have problems keeping the top in state talent at home. So yes he can do it. But there it will be tough.
