They were overthrows to wide open receivers so I guess it really didn't matter who was back there.

loved the lack of penalties. Only 3 for 20 yards mainly an accidental roughing the kicker. The number of games we lost with dumb penalties the last few years were baffling. Bama is on another level.
I have hope in this team. We can beat tn next week.

This and the kicking looked solid.

Can we at least give him a chance before writing him off after one damn game against one of the best teams in the country?

Why? He is a professional coach making millions. He is paid to win. Period. If you can't handle a professional getting criticised for what they are paid to do maybe football isn't your thing.

Nick Saban should’ve been fired after losing to UL Monroe. Agreed. We should be better than the greatest modern era college football dynasty on our coaches first game. All rational and reasonable. Thank you for your common sense.

You just moved the goalposts. Why? Do you regret your silly stance?

Where did I move the goal posts? I don’t think you caught on to the blatant sarcasm of crucifying a coach the first game against the greatest football program of all time. The coach who has won a lot of their national titles lost to UL Monroe his first season which by your standards was an indication he wasn’t going to last.

Yes the 2 throws were bad but technically Saban didn't sub his starting secondary and he always had at least 1 first string LB on the field.

There was 1 bad overthrow, and it was definitely bad, but the second one was on the receiver. He cut off his route for some unknown reason

OP wasn't all that bad, whether I agree or disagree. The problem lies with the headline. Might have a future at a newspaper.

You moved it to discussing firing a coach after one game. Nobody made such a claim. You had to move the goalposts to make your point because you had nothing.

It was not a good showing and drink isn't above criticism with his salary.

Yeah. The team looked better than I expected today.

I’m completely happy with this performance.

Why are there some so call Missouri fans that can't grasp the way Drinkwitz have the team going in the right direction? I agreed that it will take the third year to get his players. Recruiting the right kind of players to fit his system. Drinkwitz needs to know what the SEC teams are like. Speed, quickness, strength, and so forth. Then lockdown the borders in Missouri and ESL. Leach might do well now but will slowly go downhill if he doesn't make adjustments like what happened in Washington beat his team badly. It is about making adjustments. Some Alabama fans and others like what Drinkwitz have done so far.

Aren't you a Kansas fans? You are acting like one! I am very pleased with the way Drinkwitz did in his first game as a Missouri HC. There is an end of year progress and next year progress. Barry Odom did make some progress but not against top teams. Recruiting was either the same or worst. Then last year he went backwards. That is how we evaluate HCs. I guess yours doesn't make any sense and it was against number 1 team and best HC in college football. Alabama had all the players needed from recruiting top 3 year after year. He has all the players he needed. Missouri? Not yet! Drinkwitz just got the HC job. He will need to playout the first year and get an idea what kind of players he will be recruiting and which spots are thin and so forth. In year two I expect the team to be much better than the first game. If not I will be disappointed.

Robinson 19-25 for 185 yds and 1 TD
Bazelak 7-14 for 68 yards

Where is the huge discrepancy here? Bazelak’s yards all came in mop up time.

I would’ve liked to have seen more of him but he didn’t just blow the doors off.

The defense played fine. We got torched by two NFL receivers. If we get torched by Guarantano and Tenner’s receivers come back and make your point again.

I'd prefer Bazelak too but neither will succeed if we don't learn how to catch the damn ball.

This.....blocking helps

It’s like you don’t get this was actually the game with the most points and yards put on Bama since joining the conference. That’s says a lot to me. And Saban actually had a relationship with GP if you wanna play the “call off the dogs” game.

I rewatched the game and pretty much agree with this sentiment.

Did you watch the game? Robinson is slow in every facet. He couldn't hit anyone in stride. His TD pass was at least 5 yards short to a wide open receiver. He takes forever to decide where he wants to go.

Bazelak was the much better thrower. If you need more video, go watch his reps from last season.

Bama would have won this 63-10 if they wanted to. There is no moral victory to this game. We weren't competitive and that is too bad.

Just to note, being competitive doesn't mean winning. It would have been nice to at least have a competitive game going into half time (less than 2 scores down). We had no chance to win this game as expected but the defense still gives up way too many chunk plays especially on 3rd and long. The offense has many reasons why they were not great but excuses are still excuses.
