Lose Lock, Hall, Beckner, Blanton, Brown, Palmore, Anderson, Hall, Lee, Ross and Fatony, Adams, and Pendleton.
That’s a lot of snaps you’re losing. I don’t see any way we are going to be assuredly better next year without getting a magical grad transfer QB and having some people take some huge leaps that we don’t see coming.

Ok, I was off by 2 days. I thought he'd be back by Monday sucking off BO. Must mean these truly are troubled waters if it took extra days.

How many of those are difference makers?
Lock should be, but doesn’t make the decisions. I do think a grad transfer comes.
Hall would be if he was healthy and playing. Mizzou is in a good spot to get Nance, grad transfer from Arkansas.
Beckner and Palmore are good, but not a ton better than Elliot, Byers and Whiteside
On the OL Adams is better than Pendleton, but Pendleton will be harder to replace. White will be a good tackle.
Hall and Lee are great against the run, but struggles against the pass. Bolton had a solid game against Alabama
If Ross wants a 6th year I think he has a good case for a medical redshirt.
TE will be a big loss if Albert O goes pro.

Versus the people behind them on the depth chart? Probably almost all of those with the exception of Brown.

I’m on the other side of this. With or without Odom Mizzou looks like an equal or better team in 19 than 18.
I get you like to be a contrarian just for the sake of being a contrarian but this may take the cake.

Um have you seen our OL when they go in for Pendleton? I think Cook has like 20 snaps on the season and 3 or 4 penalties.
There's a reason Barry plays Cam Hilton at Safety still.
This team has a cake schedule next year. But if I were to guess, unless Albert O comes back and Bryant is the QB, we'll go 3-1 in the Noncon, and then 2-6 in the conference. So 5-7.
Odom gets fired, we all wish we did it at the end of this year.

That’s why I said Pendleton will be harder to replace than Adams. White looked good when he has played. Pendleton also had a lot of penalties when he was younger player.

quote:what is the reason? Does he get 22% less accurate in SEC games? He has the physical tools, he has a work ethic, he's not afraid to take a hit, he seems smart enough. How is his lack of development not at least partially on the carousel of coaches he's had?
Coaching and Play Calling aren't why he is completing 71% of his throws OOC and 49% in SEC play.

See, this is where you idiots fail to make the connection.
Acknowledging that there are other factors that play into us winning or losing does not equal “sucking off BO”
Is there not enough “derp derp BO sucks” analysis on the board already?

There are times when things go poorly that it isn’t the coach’s fault.
Lock will be gone next year. And if Odom can manage a win against Vandy and Arkansas at home, he’ll be back next year.
Who will you blame then when we go 4-8 or 5-7 against an easier schedule?
If we don’t will you come here and admit how stupid you are? Or if we fire Odom and you’re screaming to fire the next coach in his first season will you come here and admit how stupid you are?
The problem is y’all love groupthink, I mean my goodness...how much board space needs to be taken up with you guys constantly crying about the coach? Doesn’t it get old posting literally the same shite over and over? I don’t understand what you can possibly be gaining from it. Makes no sense.

I will admit it. Because my goal is representing what I see. You won’t. Because your goal is being some sort of visionary. You’re not.
If you don’t like theboard topics, go find another forum where you feel superior to everyone. You’re not blazing new trails with your posts. Hurr durr. Drew sucks. Hurr durr. Our fans suck.

Lock’s problem is decision making. When his receivers aren’t obviously open he struggles. He dominates poor teams because they don’t get pressure on him and his receivers are wide open.
As of now he doesn’t process his reads quick enough to excel against good teams.

You’re a pretty selective reader. There were plenty of critical posts on Lock, sloppy play, Dooley, Walters and refs.

One of the reasons I picked us to be 6-6 was a new OC.

Visionary...lol, what the frick are you talking about?
I’ve said MULTIPLE times that I would evaluate at the end of the year because nothing will happen mid season and yes, it’s annoying to read post after post crying about the coach when there is zero chance of anything happening at this point.
FACT: several of the posters flat out disappear during good times when there is nothing to bitch about. The two biggest dipshits on this board won’t even show their face when we are winning. Several others increase their post counts 10 fold when we lose. You tell me what that’s all about, and then tell me I’m wrong for pointing out that BO is not SOLELY to blame for everything negative that happens to Mizzou football.
I feel a lot of you either were not around, or are conveniently blocking your memory from this same time period with Pinkel. Year 4 into Pinkel and the comments were EERILY similar. Team makes too many mistakes, can’t recruit, won’t adapt, he’s arrogant, too much loyalty to shitty assistants etc etc. You could basically switch names. The calls for his head were every bit as deafening as they are for BO’s head now. It’s fricking deja vu.
Now, just because Pinkel eventually succeeded obviously does not mean Odom will, but the folks who were 100% sure that he wouldn’t ended up looking really stupid and there certainly is a possibility y’all end up looking really stupid again. Speaking in absolutes has a tendency to do that for you

I was gonna type out a long response. It won’t matter. Good luck with your new narrative defending the coach.

And good luck to you trying to invent new ways to say the same thing over and over. I’m sure it’s exhausting

Well heck JQ, Isn't that exactly what you're doing?
This is the Rant, and you want the Francis Bacons of football?
Then again, we got NavyNuke for that.
