So I drive by the stadium every day to work, I noticed that they already started tearing out the north entrance tailgating area this morning. I'm just assuming this was for the upcoming renovation but I was just surprised that they did it mid-season since they said they don't break ground until November 30th according to this article. Did they change the date?
The university will break ground on the project Nov. 30.

I guess so. I’m a season ticket holder and they sent a blast email before last week’s game that certain gates couldn’t be accessed due to the start of construction. My usual gate was unaffected though, so not sure how disruptive this was.

If you are standing at the north entrance (basically in the middle), 100 ft both ways is going to be blocked off due to construction. I just find the timing odd with the Oklahoma game coming up, anytime after that game would be fine tbh.

It's all prep work so once the last game is over they can get machines in and immediately start busting concrete.

Does anyone know how the construction is going?

They had a live cam for the south end zone project, looks like nothing for the north end.

I drive by it every day. Last week was was the first time I've been able to see the field while driving by it. They've removed the north scoreboard and the concrete pavilion, parking lot is still being tore up, I think they'll have that phase done pretty soon.
