Looks like USC will offer Batoon $2 million. I didn't realize Batoon had deep California roots. Assuming this happens, who do we target as the next DC?

We could match and surpass easily. But I didn't realize Batoon had those CA roots. But you're right, we should shut this shite down instantly.

If he wants to go that's one thing, but if it's a numbers game then I would like to hear why we wouldn't match, especially with the additional $4 million for coaches.

But if he wants to leave, okay.
There is somebody on staff that is a defense whisperer ... went from Odom to Baker to Batoon and defense has been solid.
Also Batoon runs too much soft zone and isn't very creative in disguise/blitz/man techniques.
Find the whisperer and promote him.

Truthfully, if Batoon leaves, Drink should throw a bag at Brandon Hall (safeties - Oklahoma) to be our next DC ...

You offer Mark Stoops the job and move on. Nothing changes up front and the safety play will get better immediately because Yaro will follow Batoon.
