Which Jack Stack? Plaza?

Made some BBQ tonight myself! With baked potatoes, slaw and corn on the cob. My guy's homemade BBQ sauce.

I didn't want to start my own thread for this, but I'm sitting in Jack Stack. And Frick the haters. This is good BBQ.
My personal favorite! I'm soooo jelly!

Bah...Arthur Byrant's rules!!!
Jack Stack is good but a visit to Authur's is
a step back in time. Even the SEC pukes from
the "deep South" would agree.

Agree with this. But Jack Stack is pretty damn good as well. For me, if I want the best beef sandwich ever I will go to Bryant's. If I want burnt ends or ribs I will go to Jack Stack. Smokin' Guns has some pretty darn good burnt ends too. If I'm looking for pulled pork it's Oklahoma Joe's all the way. Gates is decent at most anything, but their ribs have been kind of hit or miss lately it seems.

ABs has to be the most overrated joint in KC.

You could take me to the worst joint in KC. Which apparently, you have, according to your opinion, and it would be 10x better than the best BBQ I can find here.
As you know, I haven't had bad BBQ in KC.

I think AB's might be an acquired taste or something because I used to hate it as a kid. Then one day I tired it and loved it, and now I'm addicted. My girlfriend hates their sauce but likes their meat, so she uses a different sauce when we get BBQ from there. Damn...now I'm hungry...I'm going for some BBQ!

We're lucky to actually have a decent place here in Vegas. It makes living out here in the desert hellhole a little bit easier.

Do you really hate Vegas? And if so, for what reasons? I'm legitimately curious.

Hmm, this would seem to make LV southern, based on the guidelines of the rant.

Instead of que as in barbecue, I read that as the Spanish que?

I was like, "Why is everyone saying what in Spanish? Am I not part of the cool kids crew anymore?"
I was seriously concerned for a moment...

It's just a dirt city. Everything is new and temporary; half the two million people have lived here less than 10 years. No culture, completely service/tourism based economy, so there's not a whole ton of smart people here. Too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter.
Plus, I really miss the color green.

Well, it's is Arkansas Style so I'd guess we're more SWC/Big 12.

That's the impression I get whenever I visit the place. Love the rides on top of the Stratosphere, though.

I missed green and seasons when I lived in San Diego. I thought it was a mistake to leave southern California to go back to Missouri.
Looking back, it was the best decision I've ever made.
I FRICKING LOVE southwest Missouri! I can always visit Cali.
