Package deal? They were high school teammates at one of Garcia's many High Schools (Grayson)

Jakai Clark

We offered him this morning. Last night coach drink started following, an hour ago Marcus Johnson started following him. I'd love to see him come here

Lawzy! Every FB HC and assistant in the nation is following him.

Would be a good one for us.

Started 42 games, picked up an offer from LSU. Getting him would be one of the last major pieces we need.

Foster -
Delgado - Griffin
Clark - Polgar
Tollison - EJ
Johnson - Membou

that would be solid 2 deep.

I'm all for OL, but a tackle is what I was really hoping for.
Especially if roster and $ is limited, and we can only afford one starting caliber OL.

I’m not too smart when it comes to knowing which OL can play different positions. But all said, that’s a huge improvement from last year, and as much depth as we’ve had in a while

It has improved.

I hope Johnson is as good as he was at E Michigan.

I like Membou and I hope he is as good as I think he is.

Walters, Maiett, Tollison, EJ, Membou, Polgar, Lawrence, and Ruth. I think this might be the Olineman fighting for 4 spots. Pretty sure all these kid’s still have eligibility..

The center calls the assignments at the LOS. Getting someone with that much experience, so that Garcia/Horn gets off to a fast, confident start is invaluable. That's why he got so many offer right out of the gate.

But I thought that was what Polgar was billed as--the steady, wizened center.
Who has been working out with the team and practicing for a year, and developed a rapport.

You're comparing a G5 guy who didn't play last year to a guy with over 2700 P5 snaps in the ACC and has a history with your recently acquired QB. It's no contest. If Polgar is the better player than so be it, but you gotta go after the center after you just got the QB. Come Spring, Drink may need to process 1 or 2 from the OL.

To be expected, their OC is from Miami and has already made a transfer pipeline from Miami to SMU.

What happened to the quarterback? How come he wasn't part of the package deal?

Sadly, he decided to accept a diving scholarship from Grambling.

1 writer described Garcia to Mizzou as shotgun wedding speed. Not saying we played the interference game, but between Blake being at Miami and our OC knowing CA where Garcia is from, I'm betting Mizzou didn't leave this to chance. We played like the big boys to land Garcia. JMHO

Another reason could be agents of the kids who aren’t going to get much money probably contact SMU early in the portal process. SMU guarantee’s $32k and the agent makes more money if they sign there.

Now that agents can be hired where a kid signs might depend more on the relationship between agents and coaches/boosters.

Mizzou’s boosters need to pay a few agents

The pipeline is real and it is magnificent.
