What the hell did this thread turn into?
Let me see if I can summarize. Everyone agrees that Mizzou is mediocre at best but we are arguing over the reason it is mediocre at best?
I think some people expect people to become fanatical Tiger fans like other SEC schools and it's just not going to happen. Mizzou is Mizzou.

Pinkel warned Mizzou fans that they were going to have to step it up when we left for the SEC, because we are now going into a football crazed conference.

If I guy had money he wanted to donate, what's the best way to make sure it benefits the athletics department?

The goal of the TSF is provide for tuition, recruiting/travel costs, and facilities for the entire AD.

Tiger Scholarship Fund. Goes directly for the AD to pay the University for athletes tuition.

hot finish
Hot finish? They beat cripples, and then got beat by a bad, retooling Tejas team.

This is a major difference between Mizzou fans and other SEC fans. Mizzou fans generally wait for the team to show its legit before fully supporting the team. Fans of other SEC teams fully support their teams until the team/coach shows that they can’t get the job done.
Claim down cowboy! I never said I'd stop supporting them. I mean I won't be too optimistic about them having a good season if they can't beat Purdue again. JFC!!!!!!

Regardless of where you think his comment was aimed, it's on point. I am awaiting a response from the TSF team on the actual number but as was pointed out in an earlier post, Matter has stated on more than one occasion that MU has about 8000 people donate to the AD yearly. 2016-17 was a record setting year for fundraising at $50 million but it included 11 seven figure donations to get there. If they could get 3% of the in state population to donate the at the Rock M minimum ($100.00) it would completely cover the cost of every scholarship provided by the AD. I guess a $100 is too much to ask for when you loves you some Cardinals or Chiefs FB.

If Mizzou is undefeated when UGA shows up the stands will be packed.
Get blown out by Purdue again? Probably not.

Matter knows Mizzou fans suck.
