See. There are MIZ posters that lurk around here.
Nice call Crate, in my mind JF was behind center, but I'll still never forget that night.
Looking back I guess it was all for naught. I felt like we had slayed the beast that had destroyed our hopes in '07 and '08. But really it was too little too late.
I hope this vision of Mizzou isn't what I take to my grave.

The Oklahoma game is still a great memory, but in hindsight, yeah the victory wasn't as good as it seemed to be at the time. Oklahoma really struggled on the road against a lot of teams with Landry Jones and that was such an odd game. By the end of it, Stoops was playing to lose by as little as possible and they were only down 9.
The Texas Tech game still irritates me. If I remember right, they had 2 70 yard TD runs on option plays to open the game up. Then they forgot they could run the ball and Gabbert couldn't connect on anything.

Stay around here.
We need more like you.
Don't be disparaged by the Tom Foolery in these parts. We're all serious Mizzou fans, with nothing to do until football starts.
The football talk gets good when the season gets going.
Yes, the TT game was bad, but I'll never forget the Nubbers running wild on us the week after.
That should have been an, "ok, lets respond" type of game. Instead we shite the bed.
Welcome, to the beast Crate.

I just quit my job so I have some free time now.
Roy Helu embarrassed us in the Nebraska game. It was as bad as the infamous Eric Crouch run.

Berk is terrible. Easily worst QB to ever play in the Pinkel era.

It seems like forever ago, but Franklin scored a touchdown on a run in the Gameday Victory over Oklahoma from the backfield. So much has changed since that day.
Wasn't that a busted play too? Or they said JF actually made the wrong read or something?

Way to display any knowledge of football or sports in general.
There were no uncontrollable factors like an offense not built for the league it was playing in, no OL, no running game, a terrible OC, being a freshman, and being throw into action with little or no prep time, not practicing with number 1 unit to create chemistry..... I'm sure none of those factors contributed to his poor play.
Man, and I thought you were one of the few that sort of understood sports. Guess not.

I would add that 2 of the teams that he started and played the entire game against were Alabama and A&M. 2 pretty damn good teams for a freshman to be going up against.
