Bragging Rights Game - Buy or Sell?

What's everyone's thoughts on this game. Has it run its course and should we get rid of it? Was at the game tonight and it's not nearly as electric as it used to be. No where close to a sell out. Illini fans out numbered Mizzou fans fairly easily. Maybe 60/40. Maybe 65/35. Crowd was pretty quiet with the exception of a couple of times in the 2nd half. Regardless of the outcome of the game, wondering if there's just not the interest/intensity in this game and if it should be scrapped.
Personally, I liked the game, but not too interested in keeping it if the interest isn't there. Thoughts on keeping the game?

For the first time ever, I have very little interest in basketball.
I'm sure it will come back, but this is usually a much bigger deal for me than it was today. I didn't even realize the game was today until about an hour before it started.
I'd keep it, but it's weird for me this year.

Disclaimer: I'm from the other side of the state, therefore have never had any attachment to the game. I never interact with Illini fans so there's not really an bragging rights for me to gain.
That being said, I wouldn't mind dumping it. I'd rather schedule different notable opponents each year than play Illinois every year. Keep the game in STL, that's alright with me. But let's play some other schools. Mix it up. I don't want to restart with kU either. If I had my way, we'd put kU and Illinois in the past and find new things to do. Both of them own us in basketball historically, so obviously it's not as fun to lose to a rival more than you win. I say 1 game in KC, 1 game in St. Louis, each against a BCS school or a top non-aq school (Georgetown, Gonzaga)

The game almost had a feel of a worn out fan base. Like football took it out of everyone and we just need some time to rejuvenate. Pretty much a sit on your hands crowd for 80% of the game. I just don't remember it ever being that way before. It used to be electric going back and forth between the 2 fan bases.
While I'm at it. ZouCrew? Stay or go? It makes it look like we have a student section of about 20(yes, I counted them). Don't really ever notice it on TV because of camera angles, but in person, it makes it look like SLU draws more students. I know that's not true, but it's the impression that it gives. Personally, I'd like to see them get at least 100 to make it look like it's a real student section.

Are they the ones that jingle their keys at football games? If so, adios.

Creation of Quin Snyder. Need I say more?

If I actually trusted them to replace it with a quality opponent, I wouldn't mind if they got rid of it, but it at least forces a good team on them.

Yeah. No reason to get rid of this and schedule Coastal Carolina. Good STL game and good interconference tilt.
I think we're all just worn down from football season. We were at the peak of football and playing a mediocre Illini squad with our rebuilding ball hogs doesn't excite us as much as last year's team (which actually had a chance to be great and squandered it).

I have very little interest in this team. They play poor defense and the offense rarely involves more than 1-2 passes. I don't expect people to agree with me on this because it's just my opinion, but this team is borderline unwatchable for me. This team has such poor fundamentals, I don't like to watch. I've tuned into a game a couple times this season, only to turn it off after watching a couple minutes of poor fundamentals.

That's frank Haith basketball baby. Get used to it!

Nope. That's how I felt last night. I had chalked up earlier games to just playing down to our competition. After seeing them last night, I'm convinced, this team just isn't a team. I suppose it's correctable but I'm not holding my breath. Right now, I think UF, UK, LSU and Arky are all definitely better teams. There's probably a group of teams (MU/UT/Bama/OM) that are all pretty equal below that.

Haith doesn't seem to do anything to stop it either. We saw the same type of shite with Pressey last year. I am also not convinced Haith is a very good basketball coach. He was supposed to be a recruiting guru, and he has done well, but not well enough to make up the discrepancy in my eyes. Also would like more freshman coming in and less transfers.

Why in the hell is Earnest Ross running the offense at the end of the game? That can't be the 2nd option even. I'd rather have Clark, Clarkson or Brown with the ball in their hands then.
Why isn't any player benched when they take a shot outside the offense? How will they learn if they aren't coached? It's criminal.

Tell me what's wrong with this picture. Our guards are forcing the ball to the rim even when its not there and Criswell is shooting threes. And Haith's response when asked about Criswells shot selection? No worries as long as he makes it. I understand he doesn't want to throw a player under the bus in public but the fact he keeps shooting outside and keeps playing tells me it truly is no worries. If that's the case it's gonna be a long season.

And that's why Pressey didn't give a flip about shot selection last year. There really are no consequences.
