That's probably true... However, his days are numbered, as is the programs recovery back to respectability.

My number 1 pick to replace KA had been Marshall... However, the more I look into Keatts and his background..... I'm thinking this is the right man for the job.

Saw they adjusted the name of the game to "Yeah, Whoever Wins Will Just Quietly Move on to the Next Game Rights"

Keatts is probably the best option considering how Mizzou has paid new hires.

Marshall would probably take at least $4 to get.
Keatts makes less than $300K now. So could be be available for $2-3 million

Related to the decreasing ticket sales for this game is the overall dwindling fan base of sports across the board. I've recently read that attendance for D-1 basketball has fallen for 8 straight years. This year, fan numbers at major college football games declined for the 6th straight year. MLB is on a downhill slide (as is baseball participation itself)...and even NASCAR is worried about increasingly empty seats at the tracks.

But to our Bragging Rights game, I hear the cheapest tickets are nearly 50-bucks. Frankly, I wouldn't shell out $50...or even $5... to watch our current team if Jesus himself was announced to be our starting point guard.

I got a group of about 8 who are only gonna go if the tickets fall below 35

It's not so much dwindling fan bases. It's that all games are now on tv. Sports need to look at the NBA. The NBA creates a great game atmosphere, that gets fans to come. College basketball needs to do better at making games "events".

People are also cutting the cord and finding other ways to watch.

I agree. The sports bubble is popping.

We've been hit with things so much because of tv and the expanded options for sports entertainment -- people are losing some interest.

They tried to make everything a spectacle. Everything was 'so important'. Every game. Every broadcast. It has gotten a little old.

It's not just that people can watch on their tv, it's also that they're simply losing interest too.

And the ticket prices are increasing at crazy rates. Took my dad to a home bball take against Georgia the first year we were in the SEC and I dropped $200 for a midweek game against a mediocre opponent and halfway decent seats. That pricing fans out of the market.

Where are the tickets? Stubhub has 5 starting at $100.

Vivid had a few more, but less than 20.

The third party take-over of ticket sales making prices worse or better for consumers?

I say we just get it over with and fire KA now. We have nothing to lose.

Very true. When I was younger going to a big college or NFL game was something you could afford to do without taking out a second mortgage on the house. Who wants to pay a hundred bucks a seat (or more) to sit in the nosebleed section when you can watch it from the comfort of your own home?

Nothing beats going to a great live sports event don't get me wrong. Still with prices as high as they are right now the number of people who can afford tickets is decreasing every year.
