BO is already coaching Mizzou at a discount. Compared to other coaches with similar experience levels.

I think his pay is right in line with a 6-7 wins a year coach
Posted on 11/1/18 at 8:24 pm to wubilli
He is getting paid as a coach. If the only rational for keeping him is to allow him to "learn" how to coach, then a refund is in order. Learning to coach is costing the Athletic Department real money which has real effects. He didnt apply for the job to "LEARN"
I'm not the largest booster, but every dollar of my donation is money my company earned, not what I was given. No one does business with me so I can learn to make computer systems. I only ask that we hold BO to the same standard.

No he’s not. GTFO

He just needs another 2-3 years to figure out how to kick a FG without it getting blocked, to run the ball late in the 4th quarter, and that prevent defenses only prevent you from winning.
All joking aside, that defense with 9 seconds left was maybe the most retarded shite I've ever seen and screams "I'm playing to not lose" instead of playing to win.

Luke at Ole Miss makes $3 million
Morehead makes $2.6 million
Odom makes $2.4 million
Mason makes $2.9 million
Pruitt makes $3.9 million
Morris makes $3.5 million

Bo should never have been hired if you take that approach. It was known at the time he was hired that it would take him a 3-4 years to get to that point. Why fire him right when he’s getting to that point of being a good coach? That’s a wasted investment. If he was completely outclassed like KA that would be a different story. Same if Mizzou is willing to drop $5-6 million for a proven coach like Leech, plus around $1 million for his coordinators.

Yes I agree.

Who wanted him to be hired? I thought it was a lazy arse pick to begin with.
His only HC experience is in fricking High School

Morehead and Odom are making roughly the same. Odom probably would make more if he hit his attendance targets.
Morris had three years of HC experience at D1.
Pruitt had 5 years of DC experience at the highest level of FBS - FSU, Georgia and Bama.
Mason had 3 years of DC at Stanford and is in his fifth year of being a HC. If Barry makes it to his fifth year, he’ll be making more than Mason is in his fifth year.
Ole Miss paying Luke $3M was just them pretending he’s not a placeholder until the penalties are over.
This nonsense that Barry is underpaid is laughable.

Odom isn’t underpaid. He’s paid his market value. Several of the other schools are over paying for their coaches.

Mack Rhoades made the hire. Whatever reasons for the hire were, they left when Mack left.

You're not reading very well. I wrote if the only rational for keeping BO is for him to "learn" then a refund is in order. Whether we agree about him being replaced is one thing, but this welfare mentality, that asks us supporters to somehow not look at results but rather just "give" him more to me is just irrational.

So when you said he’s a discount, you misspoke. Fair enough.

You cannot fire someone at this point. Got to move on and give him a chance like any other head coach. He did get the team to play a lot better than last year. It is not the way to go to fire him for winning and making improvements from last year.

Did you type this with a straight face?

We are playing better.
It could be that we have some shitty luck to finish the season, and Barry gets some of the worst collective breaks of a single coaching season. And loses his job in part because of it. But that’s football.

Where has he improved?
His defense has gone from 86th to 79th.
His offense has gone from 11th to 27th.
Special teams have taken a nosedive, we're currently 125th in punt return yards and 114th in kickoff return yards. We're 109th in Special Teams efficiency.
Where the frick have we improved?
Because we're playing close games that we should win and yet still lose?
This team has underperformed at every level so far this year.
Thankfully we can still beat the shite out of FCS teams and non-P5 teams.

Played close games to 2 top 12 teams! Only 1 game was not a close game that was Alabama. You do not fired a head coach for playing better overall in a game when the scores shows close losses in 2 games and one was winnable. Only The Alabama game was not close.
