3 very good recruits so far in this class, and all 3 project to be 3-4 year players. Right in the sweet spot to build an elite program. If Boateng commits as well this will go down as one of the best recruiting classes in program history

2024 5?? Jayden Quaintance will take an official visit to Missouri beginning September 21st, a source tells me.

Quaintance reclassified earlier this summer and is now ranked as one of the big men in the ‘24 class.

#6 in the ‘24 class, per

Jayden Quaintance
quote:

He’s a Cleveland, Ohio native whose father played at Kent State and his mother’s brother was an NFL Tight End, at least according to TheAthletic.com ‘s Kyle Tucker.

Another interesting note if you follow the link of his father Haminn’s time at Kent State, you might notice it coincided with Armon Gates. Yes Dennis Gates brother.

quote:

Quaintance just turned 16 years old. So he would be hitting campus at 17. He would also not be eligible for the NBA Draft after his freshman season. So where ever he lands, he’ll likely be there for two seasons.

He mentioned G League in the article being a possibility, but I thought you had to be 18.

Very interesting. Doesn't he have several visits other than Mizzou planned for this fall? I wonder if those are just predictions for Mizzou being the early favorite, or if they actually signify that he could commit when he visits campus

And a few more Rivals and 247 predictions have come in recently for Boateng to Mizzou as well. No official commitment yet date that I've seen. Boateng is listed as a composite 5* on 247 now as well

NEWS: Annor Boateng, the No. 17 overall player in the 2024 class, tells me he’s committed to Missouri — becoming the Tigers fourth highest-ranked recruit in program history.

The 6-5 Wing chose Dennis Gates over offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Indiana, and others.

Not only did Gates take the top recruit out of Arkansas, but with his commitment Mizzou now has the top ranked recruiting class per 247. Shall we troll the rant or let it marinate?

So much for that. I underestimated how well Gates and Young could recruit.

I see 4 players from Branson ranked in Rivals top 60. With another ranked just outside the top 100. How did Branson suddenly become a hotbed of talent?

It’s Link academy. It’s a prep school for basketball in its third year or so. They live on the grounds of Kanakuk Camps, pretty sure.

4* C Trent Burns is announcing this Friday and rumors are that it's likely to be Mizzou. Gotten several predictions to MU on Rivals recently. Have to think this would be the last HS commit taken by Gates with an exception for Quaintance, no?

Looks like he’s a 4* based on potential.
