Jordan Butler Rivals Power Mizzou Article

quote:

"Jordan Butler's an interesting type because he does so many things so well," Rivals.com national basketball analyst Rob Cassidy said. "I think what pops off the page is his size combined with his hands. He's not the big that's going to fumble around with entry passes or on the glass; he's really sure-handed. He creates extra possessions because of it."

A new addition rounds out the class.

The Missouri men's basketball team added a fourth member of its highly-ranked Class of 2023 when Danny Stephens (Augusta, Ill.) signed to join the Tigers for the 2023-24 season, announced Thursday.

So what is Missouri's class ranked, especially relative to the SEC?

I dunno. I read that Rivals has it nationally ranked around #20.

On 247, Mizzou is 4th in the SEC by cumulative points and 6th in the SEC by star average. Pretty good start so far by Gates.

repeating those kind of results will get Mizzou to being competitive. Good to hear.

Marcus Allen #42 ranked player in 2024

quote:

“The new coaching staff, Coach (Dennis) Gates and Coach CY (Charleton Young), Coach CY actually gave me my first offer when he was at Florida State. So him going to Missouri and us already having that relationship was the biggest thing for me.

quote:

“I’ve taken an unofficial visit to Florida State,” Allen said. “And then I’ve taken two official visits to Miami and Missouri.”

Curt Lewis from John A Logan

Somebody on the coaching staff must have a relationship with somebody at JAL. He plays at the same JC as Sean East. They didn’t play together he transferred from Eastern Kentucky to JAL this year. He avg 10.4 points and 1.3 steals a game at Eastern Kentucky.

At JAL he leads the team in scoring 14.2 and steals 2.1 a game. He has a 49% 3 pt and a 52% FGM made per game.

He looks like a Gates style guard
