I've had a few in preparation for the Blackhawks game, but I thought the Quin thing would get another supporter or two.

Fantasy world, I'd be all in.

Real world, I'd still kind of be all in. We sold out the program once to get him when he was young, take a shot on the douchebag now that he's got some hard years behind him.

It's mostly discussion, but I'd seriously be okay with it. I won't advocate for it, but I'd start watching some games to see Quinny the Pooh back on the sidelines or singing in the locker room.

I'm not really one for holding a grudge, but ole Painter can frick himself for last time.

ETA: and his resume is a lot less impressive than it was last time, too.

Did you see Demarre Carroll's quotes about Snyder talking about Mizzou basketball all the time? Bring him home!

I didn't. What was the context? Was he shitting all over the place or looking back longingly?

Maybe I'm just in a weird place. I got a great job as a young punkass at a place and I shite all over the place. I spent some time earning my way at a few other places, and when the first place called I went back and killed it.

I've just seen it happen, so I know it can.

It's a dumb idea, but I figured it would get people talking.

ETA: Place, Place, Place.

Despite graduating from Missouri four years ago, Carroll has stayed fresh in the loop with his alma mater, thanks to Hawks assistant and former Tigers coach Quin Snyder. The two talk Missouri basketball “all the time,” Carroll said, which has kept the former Tiger up to par on the team’s happenings.

Sounds positive enough to me.

ETA: I'm not serious about Snyder as our coach, but it's actually interesting to me where his career has gone. Ettore Messina even hired him as an assistant in Russia for a year. If Messina approves of him, then he must legitimately be a very good coach.

If Mizzou hired back Quin Snyder I would officially be done with them.

He seems to have rehabed himself quite well. Too much mizzou baggage. Fans would go apeshit. After the last two weeks just don't see it.

The story is like three hours old. There's no list yet.

I'm hoping there was a list before it happened and that it didn't really come out of nowhere, but you know.

I'm still trying to figure out how that 2:45 team meeting goes. I mean Haith goes in and tells the guys, hey, I wanted to get you guys together to let you know I may or may not be leaving. I'll let you know when I know. WTF? How could you play for him if he even came back.

So if he's as good as gone prior to that meeting, and you know Haith is Mr. Transfer, if you're Alden and you've given permission for him to go interview, how do you let him anywhere near your players again? Maybe that had someone sit in on the meeting with him?

Im sure I'll get ripped for saying this, but Missouri is one place that MAY have a shot at Gregg Marshall. Offer would have to be incredible

Not saying Marshall would take it, but on this one, if they call ... he'll take it seriously. But again, no less than $3 million.

I know he's got the children, but there are few places in the world you can find better public high schools than Columbia. Friends would still be close-ish.

ETA: Isn't his buyout stupid, though?

With Bucks having new management, Larry Drew may be available. I would like to see him. He would be a top coach in NCAA and definitely in the SEC. Seems to adjust his style to his players, but can play up tempo which would be attractive to fans and players. Has good connections in the SE and I didn't follow too closely, but had the feeling that people in Atlanta thought he did a pretty good job there.

I also think Marshall could be had for less than $3M a year due to the ability to spend more on his other staff than WSU.

Whatever happens I hope we end up better off than where we started this. Got a 50/50 chance

Just been looking at some of these names. My thoughts:

Shaka Smart - VCU - Not going anywhere.
Gregg Marshall - Wichita State - Not going anywhere.
Michael White - Louisiana Tech - Really intrigued. Improved every year of short career.
Larry Eustachy - Colorado State - Has his issues. Track record not as good as I thought. Not bad, but not as good as I thought.
Kim Anderson - Might be what Mizzou needs right now. Might be the only guy who'd be given the time to re-build the program the right way.
Ben Howland - Unemployed - Turned every team he's coached into a winner. And he's looking for a job.
Jamie Dixon - Pitt - .750 winning percentage but would he leave Pitt? Been there 10 years.
Mick Cronin - Cincinnati - Decent track record. Would he leave Cincy?
Chris Mack - Xavier - Made tourney 4 of 5 years, but win totals as a general trend have gone the wrong way.
Tommy Amaker - Harvard - Has won in Ivy league but couldn't win at Michigan. No thanks.
Tim Fuller - Not ready to hand over the rains. Too many ties to Haith.
Archie Miller - Dayton - Only 3 years at Dayton but 3 pretty good years.
Tim Miles - Nebraska - No seasons that wow you. Though it is Nebraska now.
Craig Neal - New Mexico - 1 year at NM. Really don't know enough to say one way or the other.
Quin Snyder - Won't ever happen.
Matt Painter - Purdue - See Snyder.
Rick Pitino Jr. - Minnesota - Solid year, but not yet sold on him.

So from the list, I'd narrow it down to White, Anderson, Howland, Miller and some where after them Eustachy. Having said that, it will end up being Jeff Lebo from East Carolina (randomly pulled out of the air).

What's the black eye with Howland? He let some player beat up other players?
