Add No More New Posters (Mizzou Included) to this Board Until Further Notice

We should do what other team boards have successfully been doing to minimize troll alters:
First, require new posters to reach a minimum post count (example: 150 or 500 post count) before being added to the board. Make them prove themselves on the rant where eventually they will show their true colors.
A minimum post count will provide us with historical post data to analyze before we add the new poster to our board.
Second, if a poster is clearly an alter, ban the mutherfricka!

Meh, not sure if serious but the posters that have been granted access from other schools have been nothing but respectful. Most rarely post as it is. Our biggest problem is with those claiming to wear the black and gold when they don't.
I understand the frustration and concern, but isn't one of the goals to get more Mizzou posters here? If they have to pay their dues first by posting on the rant, the Mizzou numbers will never increase. They need a sanctuary where they can go whether it's their 1st or 10,000th post instead of throwing them to the wolves to earn their stripes. Personally, I'm for admitting anyone that claims Mizzou as their school and deal with them afterwards if they troll/flame their own board.

killz, I've requested his removal. Within a couple of weeks, I should be able to handle this myself, and then it'll be handled with a quickness that leaves a vapor trail. Have no fear.
What we're doing is working just fine for now. No posters from others schools have caused a problem, and we ferret out the alters pretty quick.

I see what you're saying, except that the past few Mizzou posters who've been allowed to post on here have all been Porker alters.
I assume he's using a proxy server or the Admins just don't give a frick. Probably the latter.
Regardless, he's creating an alter army at whim and douching up our board...at whim. It usually takes about 2 weeks before the alter is removed, which is far too long.
If I had just limited Admin duties, those alters would've been banned before their 5th post....

Well, that time can't arrive quick enough. When you finally receive ban privileges, I hope you identify douche targets (me excluded of course) and vaporize them with a quickness!

I hear ya killz and agree with the sentiment. Just call me a frickin liberal because I'd rather let 1 guilty poster in and deal with him if it avoids condemning an innocent Mizzou poster.

No, what he's saying is that he doesn't want us to start restricting Mizzou posters just because we've gotten some alters. We'll figure out who the alters are quick enough. No need to place restrictions on new posterss.

Agree. Anything damaging an alter is going to do will take place on the rant. Here it's just annoying, but no big deal.

Semo hit it. I'm talking about the suggestion that we not allow any more Mizzou posters on the Mizzou board, which would result in those innocent posters being denied access because of the ones who are guilty.
