Well played. Had no idea who this was and I had to look it up.

I was surprised he left what he had at Kansas St.

He actually left KSU because of the AD. The whole AD suspending one of his top players for the NCAA tournament was the breaking point.

As long as he didn't go all Knight on them, seems like an overreaction.

What if Hoiberg gets canned in Chicago?

The old blue hairs that wanted a team that looks more like "Norms Boys" remind me of another group.
I wonder if they'll push for Eddie Sutton.

I'd love a team that looked like most of the Norm teams.

Norm's teams won't work in this current iteration of college basketball.
Kids don't care for fundamentals any more.

Fans have short memories. 5 years ago Mizzou ended the season ranked in the top 10 nationally, had its 4th straight NCAA appearance. Spent a good portion of the next season ranked, before injuries and Dixons dismissal. Still made the NCAA tournament. Yet somehow the Mizzou job is now considered a bad job. A good hire and it will be back in the top 3-4 in the SEC. A good hire means committing money not just to the head coach. Also to the assistants as well as recruiting. Also means Sterk fixing the compliance office.
Problem is is these two programs are going in different directions. The problem with MU is not just the basketball program but all the other things going on our campus. And lets face it if we are as great a BB program as we would like to think we are we would have been able to get some one better to coach us then the last four coaches we have had.

KA should have never been hired. Haith was a little out of nowhere as as well, but MA and Snyder were both hot coaches when they were hired.
We need to be A: willing to pay which I doubt will be any problem and B: have an AD with an idea on how to conduct a coaching search. Sterk has killed it raising funds, he made good hires at SDSU. I have confidence.
Mizzou IS a very good job. Not elite, but it's very good. Good history, excellent facilities and STL is a major talent hub. Fan support, outside of the KA era has always been good.
The right coach can most definitely win here, and win at a high level.
