MO state legislature passed a law allowing us certain advantages with Missouri residents, including receiving payments right away (upon commiting/signing, I believe.) can't remember all the advantages conferred on MO residents signing with the Tigers.

Insert Jack Nicholson nodding gif. Baws it’s happening. I feel like those “insiders” will drop predictions to blue bloods off a hunch but only drop predictions to Mizzou if they’ve got some legit sources

Rivals Clint Cosgrove predicts NWaneri to Missouri
Tomorrow is the day Williams Nwaneri commits.
I’m more nervous than excited

I've seen it reported that he pushed his commitment date back to August 7th

That sucks. He will probably do it after morning practice. He should do it on Saturday or Sunday when more people can watch.

New article from Clint Cosgrove from Rivals Link - Rivals predictions for top Midwest recruits
On Williams Nwaneri:
On Ryan Wingo:
On Jeremiah McClellan
McClellan has set 8/13 as his commitment date. On Twitter he's been very pro-Mizzou lately I'll say. I don't have sources but I feel like he will be a Tiger
On Williams Nwaneri:
quote:
The five-star's recruitment has taken plenty of twists and turns, with little insight coming from Nwaneri himself, so we don't know for sure how this recruitment will play out. Oklahoma has long been considered a favorite, with Georgia right behind and Oregon and Missouri having an outside shot. But, the tides seem to be turning, and recent happenings are pointing toward Missouri as being Nwaneri's destination. Georgia, while still in the mix, is likely looking in from the outside, and it is rumored that Oregon is too far from home. The Georgia staff reportedly thinks it is down to the Bulldogs and Missouri, while the Oklahoma staff believes it is down to them and Missouri. I believe this has become a two-team battle between the Tigers and Sooners. While the Sooners had the lead up until recently there are recent developments which lead me to believe Nwaneri will ultimately commit to the Tigers. I have put in a FutureCast accordingly, and will stick with it until I hear otherwise.
Prediction: Missouri
On Ryan Wingo:
quote:
The five-star out of St. Louis University High's recruitment has seen a new favorite on a weekly basis. Tennessee was considered the favorite at one time, then Georgia, Texas and now Missouri have all been considered leaders. I saw Texas as the leader up until a few days ago, but my intel now has Missouri coming on strong and likely being the landing spot for Wingo in the end.
Prediction: Missouri
On Jeremiah McClellan
quote:
Oregon, Ohio State, LSU and Missouri have all made a strong push for the Rivals250 wide receiver. Each remains in play, and there are certain aspects of each program that intrigue McClellan. While Missouri and LSU have made their push, and done a great job with his recruitment, Ohio State seems to be the program McClellan is drawn to most. This could go a number of ways, but I believe McClellan ends up a Buckeye in the end and I've had a Futurecast for him to Ohio State for some time now.
Prediction: Ohio State

Pack 12 is dead as a door nail. The only thing Oregon can offer these days is $$ with no exposure and playing a bunch of scrubs.
As for OSU. Will always be a pain in the arse beating them off for WRs.

Landing 2 5 stars this class would be historic

If you're beating them off then it shouldn't be a pain in the arse. Either way, it's gay as hell.

4-star IOL Elyjah Thurmon names Mizzou as one of his top eight.
He is 6’3.5” 271 lbs. and ranked as the 25th best IOL prospect. He looks like a good athlete. Last basketball season he averaged 16.9 ppg and 13.4 rpg as a Jr. His sophomore year he averaged 10.9 ppg and 9.2 rpg.
Haven’t heard of this kid, but we made is his top 8.

I say put more salary cap money into oline.
