Evans tweeted that he is committing tomorrow at 7.. I don't think Drink has ever done a bat signal 24 hours in advance. Wonder if it's someone else

The fact that no one committed last night makes it more likely that the second bat signal was indeed a premature signal for Evans. I wonder if there was miscommunication about when he was going to commit. Fingers crossed, Evans would be a huge addition

Drink just confirmed on twitter that he threw up a double bat signal. Probably a commit that wants to announce soon.

It was reported that he was leaning ND last night but Drink got the job done! Winning this kid with those offers is very impressive.

WHY PURSUE EVANS?
Ultimately there are two reasons to pursue a transfer if you are Notre Dame, one is to overcome a weakness on the depth chart and the other is because a player is simply too good to pass up. Notre Dame added Cain Madden primarily out of depth concerns and a desire to add to the depth chart, but that was not the case with Evans.
From the moment Notre Dame entered the mix for Evans my sources all said the same thing, he was simply too good to pass up.
