I think the way that Huepel uses Johnson could have a big impact. Thomas will have a good chance to see how the staff uses a talent with similar size and explosiveness.

I agree the Heupal offense will go a long way to reuniting him with East StL teammates.

How are we feeling on our chances to land Jeff Thomas? This is a kid we have been looking at since he was at least a sophomore. He would be a HUGE land for this class
IMO our chances rise and fall on how successful Josh Heupel is in resurrecting Drew Lock this year.
If Thomas can see himself in Heupel's offense, we've got a shot. Otherwise, no.

Djimon Colbert is announcing next month.....and we still haven't offered.

This is surprising, 247 has him as a 4* and a mizzou crystal ball prediction. Wonder what the hold up is.

He better not be heading to Nebraska.

At this point in time, that would be my guess.

He's from the same HS as Doherty too. So Hill has known about him for years.
Maybe they just don't like him? IDK

Well that would not be a good start to "Locking up the state." But maybe he was never interested so that's why no offer or he's announcing the fact he will decide in a month to get a Mizzou offer.

Well, we already have a 4* WR in Davis and we seem to be the leader for the #1 in state player in 4* DE Graves.
Can't get them all. Especially the ones you don't offer!

Not anymore. He moved across the state lines, and is at a powerhouse Kansas program now.

Well if we want him, Iowa would be an easier flip.

Is Colbert visiting for Junior day on the 27th? Seems like a lot of offers may go out that day.

Personally, I'm not high on Colbert. Maybe I'm only judging him from the one camp that I saw video of him in St. Louis last year and every receiver that he tried to cover left him in their dust EVERY time. Maybe I need to see more of him and I could have a better judgement of him. Jeff Thomas of Eastside made him look so bad that everytime he put a move on him Colbert slipped and fell. He really looked bad.

Colbert is a Saftey so most good WRs will leave him in the dust. Especially Thomas.
I haven't seen him play, but few HS Safteys can cover.
