Ofodile did NOT get the full court press for Pinkel's staff and that was straight from Daddy Ofodile.

EE got some extra attention late but not early on. Wallace got a lot of early attention but less as time went on because he wasn't that interested.

We were really late to the game in offering Ofodile. Not sure why. Maybe they don't think he's as good as the recruiting services do?

There should be another thread for 2016 recruits.

I agree. Got any suggestions on what you'd like to see gone? What you'd like to see added? Changed? Hell, I don't even know if anyone even looks at the 1st page anymore or not, much less the highlight videos.

Thoughts notsince?

Another instate DE they're apparently looking at. Not quite the Harris story, but close. Basketball guy deciding to play football his senior year. Completely off the radar of other schools because he hadn't played since freshman year. Says he'd forego small school basketball scholarship if Mizzou were to offer.

He is said to be a backup plan like we normally see offered in late January. If we miss on some other guys I wouldn't be surprised to see him get an offer. Not to be negative, but I hope it doesn't come to that, as much fun as these kinds of players are, I'd rather not take the risk and go with a known commodity.

Give me the risk. Kids like this are what make college football great. This staff will do fine with him.

Statum is a great kid. He lives in my town, kid has a ton of potential, and could be something special. Hopefully could turn into a Ealy story

Ealy was a 4* recruit. Statum isn't going to have that story.

If we land Beckner and Williams, and fill in other needs, I wouldn't mind him taking one of the last spots. Kid sounds like an athlete.

Hey Reedus, lets not forget Howard. We're not losing that kid to Wisconsin damnit. We are the defending SEC East champs, we shouldn't be losing home grown talent to Wisconsin! It's just fat chicks eating grilled cheese sammies.

Andre was about 6'1-6'2" as he entered high school. He is a good basketball player, and just realizing how good he can be in football. As a southeast Missouri person, I just wish he would of played more than this year alone. Between him, and Al Young(Jr. WR) it makes an already good Cape Central team a blast to watch.

True enough.

I get the staff takes there time in evaluating some of these kids but he's a prime example of a kid that I bet never would have committed to Wisconsin so early if Mizzou had offered earlier. He still might not have committed to Mizzou but I think he would have held off.

Just read on the Iowa 247 board that Iowa has pretty much stopped recruiting Marquise Doherty.

LINK

My guess is he let them know Mizzou(or Oregon) is his leader. He has an OV on Dec. 5, two weeks after OR. I bet he will announce he's a Tiger on his visit.

He's a high 3* OLB from Buford GA where we got Thomas Wilson last year I think.

4* ILB Darrin Kirkland Jr., a current Michigan commit was recently offered by Mizzou and is said to be looking around. He's a former teammate of Mizzou freshman Brandon Lee and it appears he will visit Mizzou. Would be a huge pickup.

Still like our chances...assuming Lee isn't 2nd guessing his decision.
