That was supposed to be his WVU visit. We have problems if they offer.

Not sure I'm ready to crown him the next DGB, though I am excited about landing him.

Missouri coaches are having an in-home visit with Terry Beckner Jr. today. He visits Ohio State this weekend then Missouri next weekend.

Smart move. If it were me, I'd be laying the ground work for everything he can expect this weekend to take some of the thunder out of it.

247 graded him out as a top 20 Georgia player. That is remarkable

I definitely see flashes of DGB's athleticism, but he may take more time to hit the elite level due to his lack of football experience. DGB was a well regarded BBall player coming out of HS just like Justin Smith.

Plus, the dude's name is Justin Smith. He's almost guaranteed to be successful at Mizzou.

Ya know, the more I think about it, if he's a more intelligent player, that amount of time before making a significant contribution could be quicker than DGB's. DGB's biggest problem, as I saw it, was the mental part and the smarts.

And funny, Rivals didn't even grade him. Just saw a Mizzou commit and slapped the standard 5.5 3* on him and moved on with life.

Gary Pinkel and Andy Hill visited Fort Osage (Mo.) HS and saw 2016 quarterback Skylar Thompson today.

Per PM.

Coaches are getting with it today I guess.

Danny Heitert also mentioned looking at the film on Smith (on the Cusumano show) and said will struggle with certain coverages early in his career - just like DGB.

He also said Frank Agbeshere already has the kind of measurebales that compared to Sean Witherspoon toward the end of his career (with years in the strength and conditioning). Was genuinely excited for Mizzou with him.

Tampa (Fla.) Plant defensive back Derrick Baity informs Knights247 that's he's scrapped his official visit to Missouri this weekend. Instead, he's going to UCF.

Baity, who visited USF last weekend, also has an official scheduled to Kentucky on Jan. 30. The three-star safety told Knights247 he'll announce his decision on National Signing Day.

A three-star safety, Baity is listed at 6-2, 170. His decision will likely come down to the Bulls, Knights or Wildcats.

I don't know how many spaces we have left and I don't think anyone here was listing him on their wish list.

I'd look for a shorter learning curve though.
