It is going to be interesting to see how well y'all recruit Memphis in the future with Odom having ties there. Ole Miss does a pretty good job recruiting there so we may have some battles in the future.

If Beckner comes in will he start? Interesting question. Seem pretty set at DT. In a 3-4 set he would, or he or Brantley playing DE?

they say he has slimmed down to 290 so might still play at DE although still probably better suited for DT. I guess they see what happens in camp because, as you mentioned, Brantley might be moved over. We'll also have to see how Harris and Loud do in practice.
But yes I think he'll start by the third or fourth game.

Cusumano actually interviewed TBJ. He has talked so little. In fact, I don't remember any interviews. Maybe a few quotes. But that's about it. The video interview worth the watch.

After that video plays, if you click on the first video on the bottom, it's another interview with Beckner and with Sunkett. I don't remember this interview but it looks to have been during the season as it's conducted on the field with shots of practice. The thing that I had to replay a dozen times to make sure I heard it right was who his line coach currently is.

the other thing that has me feeling good about him now was when he mentioned how big his family/close friend group is... like 30 some odd people. They will all mostly want to travel to his games, that could really help.

Was just reading the FSU message board, lolz. They were saying "why would you want to go to mizzou" when talking about how much osu and FSU produce NFL d-linemen. Not saying osu and FSU don't, but obviously they're just uninformed about DLINE U. Time to add TBJ to the laundry list.

ask them why you would want to play in one of those conferences when you could play in the conference that has twice as many NFL players as any other..

Thanks for posting the link. TBJ seems like such a quiet good kid. All the yes sirs make me think he has some good parents. We'll have to let them know when we see them at the games later this year.

My guess is we had about an equal chance as those two schools, and after all they are elite schools so they have an advantage, but just the same that would give us about a 33% chance just like each of them. I hadn't seen these interviews at the time, they sound good for us, but just the same they appear to be from last summer, and sometimes these kids change their minds. A lot of you thought Elliot was "in the bag" for Mizzou too...

I would feel good about TBJ.
Schools have had close to a year to make inroads with TBJ. Other than homers picking their schools in the 247 crystal ball, everyone else says Mizzou.
Unless those balls all flip to someone else a day or two before NSD there really isnt anything to worry about.
