Because we do what we do, and that's not what we do. Quit bringing it up. Or, at the very least, quit expecting someone else to back you. Pinkel ain't doing it. We don't think Pinkel should do it

I believe it will be done if need be. Pinkel will make sure it's done in the classiest way possible. May even find a place for some of these kids. Not sure it will be needed since we may have a few more EEs than usual.

Welcome to big time football.

But we're stuck with the Finus Striblings and Ish Witters of the world.

How can you not be a fan of a cat named Ish Witter?

Took 4 last year. 5 if you count Charles Harris. With 2 this year, that's 6, so we'd need 4 more DL to reach the suggested 5 per year.

Unless already posted, Smith commited to Iowa. This sucks. Per PM per Smiths tweet.

I think he wanted to commit to Mizzou this weekend but was told he doesn't have a spot right now because of his academic issues.

I know it's unpopular, but how can we not politely ask some of these kids to decommit?

Not only is it unpopular, it's underhanded and shows a lack of integrity. You don't make an offer to a kid and accept his commitment, then yank it. It's November. The HS football season is about over. These kids are excited about coming to Missouri, and we're excited to have them. They took a chance on us when we looked like we were struggling. For us to back out on them would be really shitty, and I'd rather coach up some kids that want to be here than be that shitty.

I can't argue with that decision by the coaches.

Shame. Best of luck to him. I've been high on him personally, having watched him play.

I don't see GP telling any kids committed to get lost, classy or not.

If the staff offered its because they believe they are D1 talent.

If they had that attitude perhaps given the same circumstances, Denario Alexander, Sean Witherspoon, and L'Damanien Washington could have their offer revoked.

Is Grayjacket now going by the handle Sleeping Tiger?

The reason why I say this, an eerily similar post called Operation Decommit was posted on TB earlier today by Grayjacket. He was quickly mobbed off the board and the post deleted.

Gonna laugh if Finus Stribling turns out to be a beast.

Also, shitty about Markel Smith, but I'd rather have a full class of guys coming in who are going to be here.

This markel smith and Raymond wingo situation looks a whole lot like pinkel finally being sick of getting big timed stl recruits. If you don't want to buy in, we will fill your spot

I hope pinkel and staff are right, markel looked like one of a hell of an athlete. I hope we didn't just lose the next montee ball to iowa

But if he doesn't have the grades....seems like every year we take at least one that ends up in juco, and not all of them make it to campus. And we've used a spot for someone that isn't available. If grades are the reason we didn't hold a spot for him, my guess is the academic staff doesn't think he's going to be able to bring it up enough to qualify. That's a shame, but as full as we are we can't take chances on someone who may not make it.

I agree. I was really high on this kid. Morgan Steward gives me hope that he can be the power back we really need.

But he just took in Bauer, who actually committed to OM. Neither Wingo or Smith committed elsewhere. But I do agree, at some point GP and Mizzou has to move on and I think we already have 2 or 3 RB's in this class.
